I was originally paired with a coordinator who was not as proactive/did not project confidence and ability to guide. Mostest was super accommodating with getting me reassigned, replacing my original planner with Lanise within a day of me contacting them. Everything was smooth sailing from there on out! If you’re in Houston I highly recommend Lanise as a month-of coordinator! She consistently went above and beyond leading up to and on the day of my wedding. She is professional, organized, confident, and creative. I am a very Type A person, so it was important to me to have someone I could really trust with the details. Lanise sent detailed recaps with action items after each of our weekly meetings, was available over text when I had questions, smoothly handled vendor communications and even some family coordination for speeches, conducted venue visits, and did an AMAZING job decorating and keeping things moving on the day of. I came in with a pretty detailed vision and provided mockups of my table settings and special decor, but Lanise truly understood the assignment and executed it with such care and precision. I was blown away when I walked into the venue. She did not miss a detail! She was also just a fun and reliable presence throughout the night and even took what ended up being some of our favorite photos for us on her phone. Highly recommend!!!

Let me start by saying my wedding was a tall order! I wanted a wedding that was gothic, elegant, Victorian-inspired, dark, and moody. We were going for gothic without it being “scare grandma” gothic! And to make it a step harder, our wedding was in a very modern looking building in Manhattan. And to make it even one step harder, my husband and I are based in Ireland. Lauren completely understood my vision and designed the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen. We had so many friends and family approach us about how beautiful the decor was, and even multiple members of staff and various vendors saying they have never seen the venue look so amazing. Her attention to detail is beyond phenomenal and everything is done with such thoughtfulness and due diligence. Lauren was so organised throughout the entire wedding planning process. She helped us look for the best vendors, she went to view different tablecloth landscapes and furniture when we couldn’t (again, we live abroad!) and kept me up to date every step of the way without bombarding us so we could continue to regulate life outside of wedding planning. I have recommended Lauren multiple times to newly engaged friends, and will continue to recommend City and Terrace in the future! You truly cannot get a better wedding planner who listens to the couples’ wants and needs, understands, and most importantly keeps you calm and organised through the chaotic planning process! She has such a calming demeanor but she's also incredibly resourceful and uses her knowledge and abilities to the max. Having no family in the area, I really had to lean on her for a lot more than I thought I might, especially when I was having issues with my wedding dress. She even came with me to pick it up the first time!! Greta has so many connections and really knows her stuff when it comes to weddings. She'll be real with you about what's possible within your budget and she really helped us stay within ours - she has a great system that she provides you access to. My wedding was this past weekend, and I still want to shout Amanda's praises from every rooftop! Hire her now! We had a complex wedding design: a full three-night, four-day weekend with several different spaces and layouts involved, and different guest lists for each day. Amanda handled everything masterfully. Every detail was exactly as we imagined (and more!), and she was a true joy to work with. My mother and I have different working styles and visions, and somehow Amanda found a way to meet both of our needs at each turn and help us avoid any conflict with one another. Amanda is highly detail-oriented and has a way of handling so many things "behind the scenes" and well in advance of the wedding - including crafting much of the decor and guest gifts weeks in advance, then personally transporting them to the wedding. It was efforts like this that really set her apart from other planners -- measurably reducing our stress each moment and taking things off our very full plates. We will genuinely miss speaking and working with Amanda. Our only regret was not hiring her sooner - she joined us after we had personally booked our venue and a handful of vendors, but having her with us earlier would have only enhanced our planning process.

Movies turned me into the ultimate romantic dreamer, leading me — an economics phd to quit academia and pursue my love for food, hospitality and events. Since then, I’ve made every kind of wedding magic happen for every kind of scenario you can imagine: from cinematic Bollywood-style extravaganzas at venues like The Bowery Hotel and St. Regis in Aspen, to more intimate celebrations at homes.

My spouse and I found Seema on a website called Modern Rebel. We initially only hired Seema as a day of coordinator because we thought we could handle three separate events and a guest list of over 200 people. As one would expect, we quickly felt overwhelmed and asked Seema for her opinion on a few things. Seema took the initiative and offered to take certain things completely off our plate, which we were incredibly thankful for! Within the first couple of meetings, it was clear what a professional she is in the world of wedding prep, and so she took on the role of a planner for most of our entire wedding weekend. She helped us navigate with grace everything from the food, to flatware rentals, to itineraries, to a last minute snafu with our wedding decorator. My spouse and I also wanted to have a lot of personal touches for our wedding, including custom stage backdrops that we made ourselves, custom table name cards, a gift table, unique name cards for guests, a food truck, and much more. Anyone else may have told us to let go of a few ideas and simplify but not Seema! She was flexible, excited about our ideas, and best of all she pulled off all of our weird and creative silly ideas. If you are looking for a unique, personal wedding weekend that feels like YOU, Seema is the person who will cheer you on. Her team is also fantastic. Every person that Seema brought to work on our event was kind, attentive, and ensured that the events went well. At no point did our guests feel unattended to, and it really felt like the weekend could not have gone better. There were times it felt like she literally worked magic to make something happen, like when we needed a seating chart for the pre-wedding Sangeet because my spouse and I forgot to prep the file for her, and she got something drafted, printed, and on site looking beautiful and in the same color scheme as the rest of our materials on the day of the event (I still have no idea how she did that). I have so many lovely memories of the weekend and I feel so thankful to Seema and her team for that gift! In short, I can't say enough good things about Seema. It really felt like having a beloved family member helping us with our event, because you could tell that she cared just as much about the details as we did. (Warning, you may be susceptible to wanting to be her best friend by the end of your wedding too because she's just that cool). I would have complete faith in her to handle a wedding of any kind because she is just such an adaptable person and she will be your calm in the storm!

We booked for both florals and planning. We could not be more grateful to Angel for her unbelievable help. When beginning to plan our wedding, we had some vague ideas of what we liked, but were not completely sure. Despite only advertising as a 3 month planner, Angel helped us from the day we booked with her (a little under a year and a half before our wedding). She recommended amazing vendors, let us run ideas and questions by her at any time, and helped us craft the most beautiful day. We intentionally decided that florals would be lower on our list of priorities and expenses. Angel also does florals through Greenhouse Events, and she showed us beautiful photos and had the most reasonable prices of any florist we had met. I had a few requests for florals: namely, I wanted a few peonies for my bouquet in November, and gave a few other types of flowers I'd love to see. Peonies are not in season in November in North America, so I knew it might be difficult. Flash forward to our wedding: Angel had everything so detailed and organized, and everything moved so seamlessly. She absolutely blew us away with her decor and florals. It probably looked like a wedding that would have spent triple what we actually did on florals based on the STUNNING flowers. When I asked for a few peonies, she delivered literal buckets of peonies. Everyone was talking to us about how stunning the decor was, and we couldn't agree more. Angel really picked up on what we did and didn't like, helped us identify the most important parts of the day, and made sure we felt special and taken care of with little things we wouldn't think of already planned for in advance. She also kept everything running smoothly but in a relaxed way that was not pushy or frustrating for guests, and kept us on schedule while allowing for extra time for things as they came up. We could not recommend Angel any more highly. She is truly a lifesaver and made our day unbelievably special and perfect.

We found Evelyn and Love & Laughter through Instagram and we can’t tell you how much we enjoyed our entire planning experience! She helped us with the vendors we needed, met with us multiple times to talk over logistics, and handled the Day Of completely and the day ran without a hitch! After I got off the phone with Deliece to learn more about Dhalia Events, I immediately knew they were the one for us. The monthly check-in meetings and all of the research and expertise they provided us were so well-organized and super helpful. Joy was incredible to work with as our Month Of Coordinator, can’t recommend her and the Taylored Events team enough! We’d already selected our venue, vendors, and design, but wanted support with ironing out final details, timelines, and day-of logistics. We initially weren’t sure if we needed a coordinator to begin with, but are so glad we went with them, especially because it made the day completely stress free, not only for us as the couple, but just as importantly, for our family and wedding party. Joy gave us a spreadsheet to help us check off everything we needed for planning, created our timeline down to the minute for the day of, coordinated all communication with vendors leading up to and throughout the wedding, oversaw our rehearsal walk-through the day before (on site), and set up our decor for us. Special touches included being so kind to our flower girls and keeping them entertained (thank you to Joy’s assistant, Lindsey) during speeches, taking phenomenal candids and Polaroids throughout (we had a camera out for guests to use during reception, pic attached), and helping with my quick dress change. Joy & team are super organized, friendly, diligent, professional, and flexible — and they really care about everyone having a great time. Huge thanks for all you did to allow us to be 100% present with each other and with our loved ones on our special day!

We hired Rebecca as our month-of wedding coordinator and she exceeded all of our expectations. My husband and I moved not long before our wedding, and having Rebecca to coordinate with our vendors and keep us on task was a godsend during an otherwise frantic time in our lives. We could not have imagined a better wedding planner than Claire. She didn’t just make our wedding day flawless—she made the entire 17-month planning process smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free. From the very beginning, her knowledge of vendors and her prior experience with our venue were invaluable in helping us make confident decisions and understand our options. She was incredibly knowledgeable when it came to navigating contract challenges, always thought a step ahead, and kept us calm during the inevitable lulls. What could have been overwhelming felt easy and exciting with her by our side. On the wedding day itself, Claire was nothing short of a miracle worker. She handled every curveball seamlessly—from A/C issues at the venue, to having my second pair of shoes waiting at my seat, to making sure we had leftovers packed up in our room for later. She thought of everything, big and small, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. And on top of all that, Claire surprised us the very next morning with a video she had put together of clips from the day. It was the most thoughtful, unexpected gift, and brought us right back into the joy of it all. Hiring Claire was the best decision we made during this whole journey.
