From planning my surprise engagement to our wedding Carice provided smooth communication, was very responsive and handled any issue that came up with any vendors. She was very flexible and thorough throughout the entire process. She had great vendor recommendations and an awesome checklist that made our wedding day as smooth as possible from photographer, florist, dj, etc. As the day of coordinator, Carice did not stop moving to ensure our day went as we wished, even when things occurred she handled them with grace. *Please prepare for a long novel of praise and gratitude for seriously one of the best and most IMPORTANT vendors in the wedding game** From start to finish working with Johanna and the JLM Events team was undoubtedly the best decision we made for our wedding. Full transparency - I was hesitant to book a coordinator due to budget being the MAIN factor for our wedding and frankly I didn’t think we could spare the expense. After finding out from our venue that it was a requirement to have a coordinator (turned absolute GODSEND) I found Johanna last June (2025) and from start to finish have been absolutely FLOORED by her dedication, insight, and complete understanding of our needs and wants for the most special day of our lives. Let me just tell you- Johanna will go ABOVE AND BEYOND for you and then some. I was so thankful to have her as an advocate during this process. As someone who considers herself very “Type A” I had no idea how much of a crucial necessity having someone like Johanna would be during this process. The vendor selection is overwhelming to say the least but getting into the nitty gritty of contracts, Plan B scenarios, and just overall comprehension of this business is not something that is talked about enough in this industry. With the guidance and wisdom of Johanna, I know for a fact our experience was as seamless as it was because of her knowledge and diligence. She checked in with me routinely leading up to our wedding year and then on a weekly/daily basis once our wedding year hit. Before booking the remainder of our vendors (which were a lot LOL), I would make sure to send her the contracts I received to make sure everything looked okay and with her guidance we were able to avoid some MAJOR possible disasters with some really important vendors (talking Catering & Glam…pretty important :) ). My whole point is this- you have no idea what you’re looking at or even the questions to ask, even if you think you do, you need someone like Johanna and her team as allies. We avoided these possible disasters because we had Johanna. And even better, once confirming that it wasn’t in our best interest to book said vendor(s), Johanna would be right there with other options for us that were highly recommended and most important- in our budget. I never once felt pressured or like that I wasn't heard at all with Johanna during this process. She received and heard every ounce of my wants and intentions for this day and for that, I am indebted to her. Our wedding day was such a sacred day and because of the team (led by Johanna ) we didn’t have to worry about ANYTHING. Our main focus was just being present with each other and savoring every second- that’s how it should be! BOOK JLM DESIGN AND EVENTS, trust me it’ll be the best thing you do :)

I cannot express how grateful I am to have found Memories Made with Brittney LaShea! Brittney was instrumental in making the wedding of my dreams come true! Listen—I am a project manager by profession—super organized, type A control freak, very particular—so for me to hand over the most important day of my life to someone else seemed unimaginable. But from my first meeting with Brittney, I felt nothing but utter confidence in her abilities and she definitely proved me right! I hired Brittney for day-of coordination about 2-3 months out from my wedding which took place March 2025. Brittney is an EXPERT event planner who was able to give me so much guidance even though I was so far into wedding planning. She is also EXTREMELY thorough—“day-of” coordination doesn’t just mean you show up on the day of the wedding and Brittney understands that. She put in the necessary prep work, reviewing vendor contracts, creating a detailed day of timeline, coordinating with vendors, and leading the rehearsal. Working with Brittney in the weeks leading up to the wedding and in particular at the rehearsal, I was able to observe the intentionality with which she builds relationships with people. On the wedding day, Brittney was a literal SUPERHERO. She comes equipped with walkie talkies and the most thorough emergency kit I’ve ever seen! There were things that went wrong throughout the day (that’s inevitable) but Brittney shielded me from so much of that by making executive decisions and coming up with solutions on the fly, which allowed me to just enjoy my day. Cold sparks tripped the power in the reception hall—Brittney handled it. Wind kept blowing over the arch as they were trying to decorate—Brittney handled it. By the end of the night, I didn’t want to deal with the train on my reception dress—Brittney handled it (the woman literally stitched a bustle for me lol). I could go on and on forever about how amazing this woman is. My family, the vendors, and even random guests commented on what an incredible job she did. So I’m just going to say anyone would be LUCKY to have Brittney on their team.

Additionally, Brandy and her team were kind and engaging with my whole family and our guests, generously brought votive candles and a portable karaoke machine microphones, checked in and regularly offered support, and deftly handled setup and coordination of vendors across three locations on our wedding day.
