The ballroom features large windows on the north and west sides which give a spectacular view of the Millennium Garden, and natural area of the Plymouth Creek Park Reserve. The Millennium Garden is a popular venue for wedding ceremonies due to its natural beauty and peaceful presence. Your guests will be in awe of this “natural oasis” in the middle of the city. A sound system is included so guests can hear your vows, background music or musicians. We are extremely proud of the Plymouth Community Center and Millennium Garden and we are confident it will be a beautiful backdrop to your wedding.

The Bassett Creek Room has picturesque views of Brookview Golf Course and can accommodate up to 200 guests. We are centrally located just West of downtown Minneapolis with onsite parking. Minneapolis parks encompass the city’s defining lakes and the riverbanks at the core of the city’s development. Acquired by purchase and donation, the parks include features of astonishing beauty, historical significance, and ecological wonder, all within a thriving urban setting. More than this, the parks are imbued with personal meaning—the playgrounds that live in the memories of generations of people, are the soul of our communities. Today, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is an independently elected, semi-autonomous body responsible for governing, maintaining, and developing the Minneapolis Park System. The 6,817-acre system consists of local and regional parks, playgrounds, golf courses, gardens, biking and walking paths, nature sanctuaries, lakes, and a 55-mile parkway system. Take a step back in time to discover how our world-renowned park system got its start.

The park was originally named Douglas Triangle for the street on which it is located. The name was officially changed to Mt. Curve Triangles (plural), on November 4, 1925, when the previous Mt. Curve Triangle was renamed Fremont Triangle. The park was officially named in honor of Thomas Lowry in 1984. Lowry is best known for developing the street railway system in Minneapolis. The Lowry Hill neighborhood, in which the park is located, was named because he owned most of the land and built his imposing mansion on the hill.

The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is better than ever! This crown jewel of the city’s park system unites two of Minnesota’s most cherished resources—its parks and its cultural life. Since opening in 1988, the Garden has welcomed millions of visitors, showcasing more than 40 works from the Walker Art Center’s collections, including the iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry.
