Q: Do you take music requests?

As long as the wedding couple are okay with it! If a request is on the couple's "do not play" list, I'll politely let guests know I can't accommodate their request. Otherwise, I'm happy to mix in requests on the fly.

Q: Do you provide music for wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions?

Yes! My standard wedding package includes music for the entire wedding day. That includes guest arrival, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.

Q: Are you fully insured?

Yes! I carry full DJ event insurance and am happy to provide proof of insurance upon request.

Q: What is your style?

I truly strive to provide a unique, personalized DJ set for every single client who hires me, so my style adapts to the tastes and preferences of my clients. However, my career started DJ'ing mainly with hip-hop and pop music and those are some of my favorites to this day. Some of my biggest influences as a DJ are DJ Jazzy Jeff, Digital Dave, and Nick Bike.

Q: How early do you come to set up?

Although my setup only usually takes about an hour, I like to arrive for setup at least 2 hours before guests arrive. I always like to leave extra time in the case of emergencies.

Q: Do you provide other services, such as lighting or photo booths?

Dance floor lighting comes included with my standard wedding package. I use a light bar with 4 LED wash lights that a have variety of modes including static, strobe, fade, and music-synced lighting. While I do not provide photo booths, I can recommend photo booth vendors with stellar reputations that will be sure to deliver an excellent experience for your big day.

Hi! I'm Jake, a.k.a. DJ Hooded Wolf. I'm a DJ based in NJ just outside of Philadelphia, PA. My career kick-started as the opening DJ for DJ Frequency, the mastermind behind the Grammy Award Winning track "Monster" by Eminem feat. Rihanna. Since then, I've been fortunate enough to perform at a wide range of events and venues, ensuring every moment is brimming with excitement. We truly cannot say enough amazing things about DJ Hooded Wolf! Our guests raved all night about how it was the best wedding music they’d ever heard, saying it was a “no-skip” set from start to finish. From the beginning, he was such a pleasure to work with. He listened carefully to everything we shared during our prep calls, remembered every detail, and made sure our vision came to life. At the wedding, he struck the perfect balance of being both professional and incredibly fun. His energy was contagious, and he kept the dance floor packed the entire night. You can tell how passionate he is about what he does. The planning app he uses made the process so seamless (one of my favorite parts of planning!). Jake (DJ Hooded Wolf) brings so much excitement and joy to a celebration. We also got to see him at a nightlife gig recently and he was awesome! We only wish we had another reason to hire him again soon!

I had a good feeling about DJ Hooded Wolf the first time I came across him and I'm so happy that we booked him for our wedding. He was great with communication, extremely helpful, and was the life of the party. He seamlessly handled music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and was so receptive to the type of music we wanted and specific requests we made. People are still telling me how it was the most fun wedding they've ever been to and a large part of that is thanks to DJ Hooded Wolf. If you're thinking about hiring him for your event, do it!

Jake was absolutely amazing as our wedding DJ. From before the wedding to day of, he was always making sure to create the environment that we wanted for our wedding. He was super understanding of me and my husband’s schedule and scheduled our pre-wedding meetings around whatever we had going on. The program used to prep our music before the wedding was so easy to use and made the process very easy. The day of our wedding, Jake created such a fun environment with the music. Our guests and us had a blast all night and could not have picked a better DJ. Even with the most random song requests we made because of family traditions, he always listened to what we wanted! I 100% recommend DJ hooded wolf!
