Sweet Whimsies

Our story is a reminder of how simple life’s pleasures can be. We have great memories of spending time with friends and family around a table, enjoying good food & sharing stories, celebrating life together. We still do this with our own kids and grandkids. Our menu is inspired by Sandy’s southern heritage as well as friends who have baked desserts for church dinners with her. That’s where she perfected her cheesecake recipe. She also worked at The White Horse Inn in Metamora, Michigan, one of the premier dining destinations in the area, where she further developed her baking techniques.

We eventually decided these family favorites were worth sharing with others, while spreading a little love and kindness too. So we converted a little vintage trailer into a blue & white cutie we named “Maggie” and constructed a new commercial kitchen. In November of 2017, the Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development issued us our first Commissary and Mobile Food Unit licenses.
