I’m a wedding photographer with nearly 20 years of experience, specializing in natural, timeless imagery and a calm, highly organized approach. I believe the best photos happen when couples feel supported and present, not rushed or stressed. I take a hands-on role in planning and timelines, helping the day flow smoothly — especially for destination and outdoor weddings. My work is focused on genuine connection, meaningful moments, and creating images that feel honest and lasting.

I’m known for being steady, prepared, and quietly in control when things get chaotic. That level of experience and support allows my couples to enjoy their day — and it shows in the photos. My goal is for couples to feel taken care of — to know someone steady is paying attention so they don’t have to. When that happens, the photos naturally become more meaningful, relaxed, and true to who they are.

We have been working with Kristin Cheatwood for almost 13 years. She first shot our wedding in Sun Valley Idaho in 2013. We loved the photos and how easy she was to work with that we have been doing extended family photo sessions almost every year since. Kristin is patient, flexible, and extremely thoughtful.
