How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

Typically, couples book me about 6-13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.

Do you work with assistants or other photographers?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Depending on the size and flow of your wedding day, I may bring my wife along as my assistant — she helps me keep everything running smoothly so I can stay focused on capturing your moments. For larger weddings, I also include a second photographer in the package at no additional cost to you. This ensures we can cover multiple angles and moments simultaneously, so nothing is missed.

Will you edit all our pictures?

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I carefully go through every photo from your day and select the very best moments. This process, called culling, ensures you receive a beautiful, cohesive collection without duplicates, test shots, or blinks. Every photo you receive is fully edited in my signature style — polished, natural, and ready to print or share.

How long will it take to see our pictures?

My turnaround time varies by season, but typically you’ll be able to view your full gallery online about 4–6 weeks after your wedding. Before we share the link, though, I love to invite couples (and their families) to a special Premiere Presentation on Zoom. During this virtual viewing, you’ll get to see the highlights from your day for the very first time — together. It’s a meaningful way to relive the story of your wedding before diving into the full collection.

Do you have insurance?

Yes — if your venue requires insurance, I’ll make sure everything is covered. Just let me know in advance so I can provide the necessary documentation for your wedding day.

Question 6

What’s your back-up plan if you can’t photograph our wedding as planned?

In my 15 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.

Do you also offer video services?

No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible.

How many photos are included?

Every wedding is unique, so I don’t set a strict limit on the number of photos you’ll receive. Instead, I focus on telling the full story of your day. For a typical full wedding, you can expect at least 500–800 carefully edited images, depending on the size of your celebration and the number of hours of coverage.

How many photos are included in an elopement?

For elopements, the focus is on the intimate story of just the two of you. In 3 hours of coverage, you can expect at least 150–300 edited images that capture the emotion, details, and setting of your day.

Do you offer albums and wall art?

Yes! Your wedding photos are meant to be lived with and enjoyed every day—not just stored on a hard drive. I offer a curated selection of heirloom albums and custom wall art designed to fit beautifully in your home. Our albums are handcrafted with fine materials, built to last for generations, and available in a variety of sizes and styles. Wall art options include canvases, framed prints, and statement pieces sized perfectly for spaces in your home or office. During your ordering session in the Premiere Presentation, I’ll walk you through all the choices and help design something that feels personal and timeless.

When should we order our album or wall art?

The best time to start designing your album or wall art is soon after your wedding, while the memories are still fresh. Many couples choose to order during their Premiere Presentation, when they see their highlights for the first time. Ordering early also means you can take advantage of special incentives I offer for couples who decide within the first few weeks. Of course, there’s no rush—I’ll keep your photos safe, and you can return to design your album or wall art at any time. But the sooner you start, the sooner you’ll have something beautiful in your hands and on your walls to enjoy every day.

Do you travel for weddings or elopements?

Absolutely! While most of our weddings are in New York, we love to travel and capture love stories in new places. Whether you’re planning an intimate elopement upstate or a destination wedding abroad, we’re happy to be there. Travel fees may apply depending on the location, but we’ll go over all the details upfront so there are no surprises.

Question 13

How do we book you, and what’s the payment schedule?

Booking is simple. Once you’ve chosen your package, we’ll send over a contract and invoice. A retainer is required to officially reserve your date, and after that, you can choose a payment plan that works best for you. The only requirement is that the full balance is paid at least two weeks before your wedding. Everything is handled securely online, so it’s easy and stress-free.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Zelle and credit/debit cards. Please note that if you choose to pay by card, there will be an additional transaction fee charged by the card company. Zelle is a fee-free option that many couples prefer for convenience.
