My name is Katelyn, I’m 26, and I’m based out of the Portland, Oregon area! I am beautifully, unapologetically, and loudly queer, and my pronouns are she/her. On any given day, you can find me meditating and reading by the water somewhere. I’m deeply into all things spiritual—moon phases, energy work, astrology, you name it—and I try to bring that sense of intention and magic into everything I do. Photography has been my outlet, my healing space and my rebellion for as long as i can remember. But I am inspired by all forms of art. I write poetry, I paint, I make pottery. I love making playlists.

There’s nothing quite like being behind the lens for me witnessing the raw, unfiltered emotion of real love as it unfolds. It’s where I feel most alive. The messy tears. The snort laughs. The “can’t keep our hands off each other” type of kisses. Underneath it all, photography is an act of witnessing. And I believe every soul who steps into my frame deserves to be truly seen. I take a documentary-style approach that’s cinematic, free-spirited, and deeply intentional. I’m also very passoniate about inclusivity, + safe storytelling—especially for LGBTQ+ couples and folks who’ve never felt fully reflected in traditional wedding spaces.

t me start off with saying I inquired with Katelyn before I even secured my wedding venue because I HAD to have her capture my wedding day. She was the first vendor I booked. She immediately felt like a friend, and once my day arrived and we finally met, I felt like I’ve known her forever. I fell in love with her photos and her artistic eye and I anxiously awaited my wedding day because I knew she was going to capture it better than I could imagine. You can feel the emotions just by looking at each photo, as if they’re telling you the story right out of a book. When it came to my wedding day she kept asking the vibe, the mood, what I did like, what I didn’t like for photos, but I didn’t want to give any direction because I knew I could fully trust her and her vision. No matter what is in front of her lens, she’s going to capture it in the most creative and beautiful way possible. My wedding was just a few days ago and she already had a handful of photos ready and edited so exquisitely that it made me, my husband, my family and my friends tear up all over again, just like we were there reliving the moment over again. I never doubted or questioned for a moment that anything would be missed or not photographed to tell the whole story because if you so much just look at her instagram, you know that she puts all her passion into every single one of her photos. She wants to show the world your love story thru each photo and make sure that when you look back on them that each one is a small glimpse into the emotions and all the love that filled the air that day. I will recommend Katelyn, Yara and her team to any and everyone for the rest of my life. My special day was beyond perfect and I am so grateful that Katelyn and her team were apart of it. We just got our sneak peek photos back from our engagement shoot with Katelyn and I am screaming with joy! Who are these incredible cool looking people in these photos?! Katelyn is an ARTIST. Not only that but she made my fiancé and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera. I am a nervous human, especially when photos are being taken but Katelyn was such a professional and made it all feel so beautiful and fun. It just felt like we were hanging out with a bestie rather than a photo shoot. Katelyn has this amazing way of making you feel loved and lifted. I kinda randomly came across her on Instagram and we hired her without even interviewing anyone else because we loved her personality and vibe and I honestly think it is the best decision we could have made about our wedding (other than marrying each other, that is). After seeing the sneak peek, my best friend replied: “Oh my god. Oh my god. They are flawless. The colors, the background, the focus… she is an artist. Give her all the you’re saving for a house please.” We might! She is worth every penny. Seriously, if you are looking for a photographer, your search can end, Katelyn is THE BEST.

I don’t think I can manage to put my gratitude for Katelyn into words but I will try. Having Katelyn as our wedding photographer was the absolute best decision we could have made! Throughout the entire process she was professional, communicative, and made us feel so comfortable. If you want to feel present and authentic on your wedding day, while still getting timeless photos, Katelyn is your girl. I have been part of 10 weddings and I have seen some beautiful photos. However, the vibes that Katelyn brings are genuinely unmatched. Our families and guests were even raving about how sweet she was, and that makes the world of difference on a day that is so intimate and special. I truly could not imagine having anyone else capture our day! They really aren’t joking when they say your wedding day goes by so fast, and that makes hiring the right photographer one of the most important decisions you will make for your day. I would 20/10 recommend Katelyn, no notes, just happy tears.

Katelyn is amazing! She was early for our shoot, and very efficient without feeling rushed. She was excited and enthusiastic about each new shot which made the experience feel very comfortable and relaxed. The photos blew us away - they looked like they were right out of a fairytale. This was our third professional photo shoot and I can confidently say our favorite photos we’ve ever gotten. We can’t wait for her to photograph our wedding! Katelyn is a joy to be around and is clearly an expert in her craft.
