I’m Marissa a photographer, mom, and wife. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me adventuring around Chicago (or across the country) with my family. We love exploring new places, and I’ll never say no to a good plate of nachos, a Snickers, or a fizzy water. Photography has been part of me for as long as I can remember—I’ve always had a camera in hand. Fun fact: my daughters are even named after a camera and after light (can you guess their names?). What I love most is capturing real, meaningful moments, especially weddings. Being able to preserve love stories in an authentic and lasting way is truly the heart of what I do.

I’m often told I’m a jack of all trades—and I credit that to literally growing up in a theatre. On a wedding day, there’s hardly anything I can’t handle or fix. I’m adaptable, calm under pressure, and always ready for the unexpected. Need me to grab your favorite treat? Done. Forgot something and need it picked up on the way? I’m on it. My couples know I’ll go above and beyond—because there’s nothing I wouldn’t do to make their day run smoothly.

    Marissa is THE best. She is experienced, calm, cool, and collected. And her photos are AMAZING. She is incredibly sweet and patient with her clients, which is the most important thing on the big day (besides the photos of course). Her planning process is impeccable, and her eye to find spots and angles blew us away. The speed at which she got us our sneak peek was amazing too. We were packing up the venue when she sent us our sneak peek, the evening of our wedding. Which was incredibly fun to look at with those who were helping clean up. She is incredibly experienced, there is a reason she is willing (and consistently booked) for events all around the country. If she is available on your date, she should be your photographer.

    Marissa is an amazing photographer! We would highly recommend her to anyone. We spoke with over 20 photographers before finally finding Marissa. The second we hung up from our zoom call with her, my now wife and I instantly knew there was nothing else to think about. We wanted to book with Marissa right away. Her price was extremely reasonable and within our price range. Even with having kids, she still made herself available to us 24/7 and answered all of our questions relatively quick. We had a fairly large bridal party so it wasn’t easy trying to manage 17 women, 9 kids and 7 men. We wanted someone who took charge and took control when it came to our photos and that’s exactly what Marissa did. We ran into a couple complications while getting ready, which pushed back our timeline a bit and yet, Marissa and her partner, Sammy, still managed to get all our photos done in time. They both went above & beyond with helping us with things that had nothing to do with photos. They also worked extremely well with our videographer. Thank you Marissa for making our day an absolute perfect one.

    Marissa was an absolute joy to work with for our wedding photography. Her confident yet respectful communication style put us at ease through the entire process. She was thoughtful and organized in preparing for our big day, while also remaining flexible to last minute changes. Marissa's work is thorough and captures the essence of special moments with care. She helped guide my husband and I, not the most photogenic couple, into poses that felt natural. Additionally, Marissa was essential to the flow of our wedding by adding positivity and organization to what could have been chaos. She did a fantastic job ensuring beautiful photos while keeping things moving smoothly. I cannot recommend Marissa highly enough for her professionalism and quality of work.
