Heather has more than twenty years of experience in wedding & special event planning, having executed over 500 events, ranging in size from 2-1,500 people. This includes 7-years as the Director of Weddings & Special Events for the town of Seaside, Florida, & 9-years as the owner of Defining Moments, specializing in destination wedding & event planning for the 30A area, Sandestin and Destin. She relocated to the metro-Atlanta area in 2021 & worked in the corporate event arena for Wellstar Health System. With a calling & personal passion for creating celebrations, she is excited to relaunch Defining Moments Special Events in Atlanta.

We believe that life is a collection of moments, both large and small, which help to define who each of us are. These moments are meant to be celebrated and shared with family, friends and loved ones, to create lasting memories for years to come. They are stories that will be shared around a dining table, hung on the walls in frames and passed down to future generations. From there, we work closely for vendor recs & management, meeting attendance, logistics, full planning and rehearsal & wedding day direction from set-up to breakdown. No detail is left unturned, as we bring your vision to life for a flawless & stress-free event.	Looking for some adventure or an intimate elopement? Defining Moments is pleased to assist with your destination wedding. With strong experience in destination wedding planning, in tandem with our luxury travel partner, we would love to collaborate with you to make your wanderlust wedding dreams a reality.	Defining Moments Special Events understands the art of beautiful celebrations. From casual to elegant (and everything in between), our inclusive intimate event design packages are curated to offer our clients the ease of hosting a party, while enjoying the quiet luxury of our design services. Let us do the work, so that you can enjoy a relaxing celebration with friends and family that's sure to impress!	This “wrap-up” package is designed for couples who have secured their wedding venue & vendors, finalized the budget & have planned the majority of details. We begin at time of booking with an initial consultation, to help guide you on the right track for your own planning. Then, 3-months prior, we begin assistance with final confirmations, logistics, layouts & vendor management, coordination for the rehearsal & wedding day from start to finish.

No - At Defining Moments Special Events, we pride ourselves on the exclusive partnership we have with our couples. Because of this, we only work with one couple per day/weekend, so that we can focus our full attention on your wedding weekend and event production.

Yes - We offer full planning & coordination services for additional pre-wedding events, such as engagement parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties and bridal showers. Additionally, we offer full planning & coordination services for additional wedding weekend events, to include bridal/bridesmaids luncheons, rehearsal dinners, welcome parties and farewell brunches. Please be sure to inquire about custom weekend wedding packages, to suit your specific needs.

Heather Archdeacon-Williams, our owner/lead event planner & designer will be your main point of contact for your event planning, from start to finish. Additionally, Heather's team includes assistant coordinators who will be on-site support on your wedding day. All packages include (1) assistant coordinator (in addition to Heather). Additional assistant coordinators can be added onto your wedding planning package, depending on the size & scope of your event.

Yes & No - Our full & limited service wedding planning packages include our design services, as we work with you & your vendor team for full event design. This includes Defining Moments, your venue, florist & event rental company. For smaller more intimate social events (ex: showers, birthdays, tea parties, bachelorette parties, holiday events, etc.), we offer INCLUSIVE intimate design packages for up to 30 people. To begin, let us know your event date, expected guest count, & then choose your celebration theme & any special celebration add-on services. We take it from there to include our design services, delivery, set-up & breakdown.
