Q: Do you take on multiple weddings in a day or weekend?

I personally only work one wedding a weekend, but, if I am booked on your wedding weekend, I can sometimes offer you one of my amazing lead assistants to coordinate your rehearsal and wedding day, while I still handle all of the wedding planning per package. This option is handled on a case by case basis.

Q: Are you part of a team? Who will we be working with?

I am generally a one-woman show in the planning process, but I do utilize coordination assistants, depending on the scope of the event, at my discretion and on my own dime.

Q: Do you also plan other events, like showers or rehearsal dinners?

I sure do! While weddings are my bread and butter now, I do all kinds of events and have over 17 years of diverse event experience.

Q: How much time should we expect to spend with you?

As much time as it takes! For Planning Lite, it's about 40 hours of my time including your day, but I have couples that use up more than that. For planning and partial planning, you get as much time as it takes. For any package, you'll see me as often as you need and as little as once a month with plenty of emailing in between.

Q: What are your weddings like? Any specialties?

I have worked on lots of different weddings, but I excel at creating a laid-back atmosphere and taking stress off of my clients. I do specialize in non-traditional and queer weddings, but have certainly executed plenty of traditional weddings as well.

Hi I'm Andy Anthony! I'm a Portland, Oregon event planner with 17 years of diverse event experience and over 8 years of wedding experience. Double A is my name, Andy Anthony, and it's also the boundless energy I bring to my work. With this philosophy in mind, I founded Double A Weddings & Events, and I’ll work day and night to guarantee that your event will be filled with unforgettable moments. I believe that weddings should be FUN and that you should get to relax and enjoy such a momentous occasion. I love nothing more than making your special day perfect, to take the burden off you so you can just enjoy.

In the planning process, I'm a team of one, but I do use lead coordinators and coordination assistants on event days. I offer discounts for LGBTQ weddings and weddings at Leach Botanical Garden. NOTE: the pricing Zola makes me list as "starting at" is my set package pricing excluding any additional fees or a la carte services. I am a vaccinated and LGBTQIA+ wedding vendor.

Description	I take care of almost everything, such as vendor research and communication, gathering quotes, setting up meetings, facilitating contracts, and managing every detail so that you are able to save time and energy and focus on making decisions. Also includes planning the rehearsal dinner, but not staffing the dinner. I help you manage your budget and consult on budget, but you are responsible for paying the venue and vendors.	If you're eloping or planning a micro wedding with 15 guests or less, contact me for a custom quote! I'll meet with you and then base my quote on how much labor it will take to execute your event.	I actually call this package Planning Coaching. This package was designed as a more budget-friendly planning option that guides you through the planning process, keeps you on track, and provides my expertise throughout. Also includes support in planning the rehearsal dinner, but not staffing the dinner. Includes unlimited meetings to consult and advise. I provide a budget template and budgetary assistance.	I call this package Wedding Planning Lite, which is similar to coordination, but entails so much more than typical coordination offerings, such as timeline and floorplan creation, vendor communications on logistics, regular check-ins, my brain to pick at any time, and management of your wedding rehearsal and wedding day start to finish.

I don't even know where to begin with how AMAZING Andy was for our entire wedding planning process. When we met Andy, we discussed our idea to hold our wedding at a brand new location that would require us to build a full venue and services from scratch. Andy was instantly game to take on the challenge and there's no way we could have done it without her. She became an advisor to both us and the location owner, guiding us all through every step of the process. Having Andy on our side allowed us to focus on the wedding details we were most passionate about and enjoy the process instead of stressing on all the details of building a venue. Flashing forward to the wedding day itself - Andy and team were amazing. Everything looked amazing and spot on for our hopes and vision. The entire day was a dream, the schedule was great, our guests all had a ball and we were so, so happy. Andy and her team are amazing!! After being part a wedding with a terrible planner and seeing the impact, we knew we had to hire someone top tier and Andy is just that! From the start, we knew we were in excellent hands with her amazing energy, spreadsheets, and deep well of experience. We had a pretty large, complex wedding and Andy thought of absolutely every last detail, right down to how long it would take to light 300 candles (!!). Friends kept asking if we were stressed leading up to the wedding and we could honestly say no with Andy running things. The wedding itself was incredibly well run with no hiccups and a perfectly budgeted timeline. Do yourself a massive favor and hire Andy to plan and/or coordinate your wedding, no matter the size. You'll be so grateful you did!

We had a very small, inexpensive wedding. Even with fewer than 20 guests, there is no way we would have pulled it all off without Andy’s help. She was there to handle the mundane, the major, and the unexpected, allowing us to focus on each other and our important day. No wedding day goes exactly as planned, but with help, it can be perfect. I highly recommend Andy for your event!
