Halloween Wedding
The team at Charles Davis Mansion was fantastic to work with from start to finish. Their communication was great - they were responsive, flexible, and really helped make our wedding day stress-free. The venue itself was perfect, with a beautiful historic setting that was both elegant and affordable. They gave us the freedom to decorate how we wanted and coordinated seamlessly with our other vendors. Bill, the owner, was a pleasure to work with and made sure I wasn't worrying about any of the details on the big day. I would highly recommend Charles Davis Mansion to any couple looking for a gorgeous, well-run wedding venue.

Bill went above and beyond. He really understood my vision and did everything possible to make it happen. Everyone from guests to vendors absolutely loved the venue and Bill. 10/10 recommend. Plan to use the venue for future staycation adventures.

There’s no way to even begin describing how amazing our experience was with Charles Davis Mansion. From the start of our interactions, Bill—the owner—was very responsive and accommodating. He truly ensured that, from start to finish, the whole process went smoothly. Bill is not only dependable but also personable and intentional in the care and maintenance of the mansion and its guests. This made our stay at the venue comfortable and cozy, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time together while managing other preparations prior to the big day. It was a miracle that we discovered Charles Davis Mansion, but we knew as soon as we saw it that the search was over. As though it were straight from a fairytale, the mansion has its own magic and character that you can feel in every room. The beautiful color scheme paired perfectly with our wedding palette—not to mention how charming the furniture was as well. Our guests were all enthralled with the venue and gushed about how beautiful the ceremony was. With about 40 people in attendance, the backyard had ample space for everyone and room for activities. While we had some worries about inclement weather, Bill handled it with his weather machine and somehow gave us a beautiful sunny day. And with the shade from the huge magnolia tree and a tent for extra cover, there was nothing to worry about. Bill and his team are well connected within the Shelbyville community and had many helpful local vendors to recommend. This venue was perfect for our Elegant Fantasy themed wedding—but it could also be ideal for rustic, mystery, historical, or magical-themed events too. We are so grateful to have experienced Charles Davis Mansion and the wonderful team that comes with it.
