At Leaping Deer Ranch, we take celebrations of love to heart! Nestled in the heart of northern New Mexico, Leaping Deer Ranch offers a unique and affordable venue for the intimate wedding ceremony and reception of your dreams. We specialize in intimate, rustic weddings for couples traveling from both near and far. With both indoor and outdoor spaces, our ranch provides an excellent backdrop for you to celebrate this special day. We especially welcome couples with creative ideas, non-traditional plans, or DIY dreams.

The best venue for a private secluded reception with stunning views.

Leaping Deer Ranch has a wonderful 1600 square foot event hall. It comes equipped with tables and chairs that can accommodate up to sixty people. The hall has its own kitchen and restroom. It is a great space for so many events. The Event hall has scenery windows that overlook the valley and pastures below. The same space could be used for parties, dancing, meetings, or whatever else your imagination conjures.

    We had our wedding at the Leaping Deer Ranch in September. It was so lovely to be surrounded by the sweeping hills and dramatic skies around Sapello. The wildflowers around the ranch were in bloom and it was a beautiful place to have our friends and family gather. We were able to have some of our closer friends stay at the venue with us for a few days before the ceremony and it was so nice to relax, hot tub, and enjoy all the different amenities. Would be great for reunions, retreats, or smaller DIY weddings.

    I am so glad my fiance found this property for our wedding. As an alternative to my original location, I wanted something green, that allowed us to be the caterers, and offer amenities to our guests.. and Colin's property at Leaping Deer Ranch offered just that. He's a fantastic person to work with, very accommodating, allowing our dogs to be involved with the wedding, and having enough space for our guests to park within the property. The property itself doesn't feel like you are in New Mexico, as its mostly green from the natural surroundings. I am not a bug girl, so the copious natural "friends" was a bit hard to swallow for me, but our bug lanterns worked over time, and didn't hinder in the festivities. As for the cost, his property was much cheaper than other venues within Albuquerque, NM for the allotted time and duration of our wedding. We are so glad we found this property!

    We contacted so many venues across New Mexico and Leaping Deer Ranch was by far the most best deal considering the affordable cost, how much you have access to, and just how BEAUTIFUL the ranch is. From the moment we reached out, Colin was so communicative and helpful in the planning stages. The ranch itself is truly incredible and breathtaking - we couldn't have picked a more perfect location for our wedding. The staff were so accommodating, helping us with catering and set-up for the multiple events we had in the days before and after the wedding. It was so nice to be able to stay in the ranch house with our entire wedding party for the whole weekend. We used the shooting range and took a yoga class the day before as well as got a massage on site the morning after. It was so much fun and the photos were so beautiful! We are so grateful to the Leaping Deer Ranch team for making our special day an absolute dream. 12/10 would absolutely recommend getting married here.
