Welcome to our waterfront gem nestled in the heart of Ballard, Seattle's beloved neighborhood. We're a unique and charming venue perfect for weddings. With a seated capacity of 200 guests and standing room for up to 240, we offer ample space for your big day. Our 45 stall parking lot ensures a hassle-free arrival for you and your guests. Our in-house catering team, Chomp! Foods, is dedicated to elevating your culinary experience with customizable menus tailored to your preferences. We offer amenities such as a bridal/get-ready room and customizable LED dance floor lights Our day-of coordination services add an extra layer of support, allowing you to relax and enjoy every moment. Inside, a wall of picture windows frame the scenery, providing views that serve as a stunning backdrop for your day. Outside on the patio, the beauty of Ballard's waterfront unfolds before you. Tables, chairs, plates, glasses, and flatware for up to 125 are included, simplifying the planning process.

Winter Wedding of our Dreams
The Canal was the perfect venue for our wedding day. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the clean, modern design and the abundance of natural light from the large windows. The terrace overlooking the Ballard Locks provided a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony and cocktail hour. The heat lamps were on and everyone stayed warm during our ceremony. Beyond the aesthetics, the staff at The Canal went above and beyond to ensure our day went smoothly. They picked up our wedding cake, coordinated the set-up of the tables and chairs, and even provided candles for our centerpieces. Chef Paul is talented. He and his team prepared a delicious meal that we were able to enjoy without missing out on any of the festivities: they plated our food and it was ready for us when we sat down. As a one-stop-shop for both the venue and wedding planning, The Canal connected us with high-quality vendors and handled all the details so we could focus on celebrating our special day. We highly recommend this venue to any couples looking for a creative, full-service option for their wedding.
The place to be
What can I say about The Canal other than it’s perfect? The venue is absolutely stunning (both inside and out) with a charming, intimate feel that made our reception unforgettable. The food was to die for (our guests are still raving about it), and the staff were some of the friendliest, most professional, and genuinely fun people we’ve worked with. They made everything run so smoothly and added such a personal touch that it felt like they were celebrating with us, not just working behind the scenes. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that truly goes above and beyond, I can’t recommend The Canal highly enough.
Amazing experience!!!
We LOVED our experience with The Canal! They were absolutely wonderful and kind to us - Stephanie and Paul absolutely knocked it out of the park. The venue gave the perfect blend of styles and natural elements, and we loved getting to spend time both inside and outside. Paul’s food was also phenomenal - folks are still talking about the amazing brisket, which is a house staple for them. We could not have had a more perfect experience with this venue, despite busy schedules! We will absolutely be recommending this venue for several types of future events! This is not just a wedding venue!! Thank you Paul and Stephanie for the outstanding wedding!
A Perfect Seattle Wedding!
As a wedding DJ I have been to many venues and for a city venue this is a special one with the view of the canal, boats and trains. You are on the edge of the waterway and the windows do the view justice. Plenty of space for tables and a dance floor with another section that flows well into the space. The bar and esthetics are well thought out and the staff is friendly. The patio is perfect for an outdoor ceremony If you are having guest come visit Seattle, this is as Seattle as it gets.
