At the Delaware Center for Horticulture (DCH), we connect people, plants, and place to cultivate healthy people and thriving communities. Since 1977, we’ve led transformative greening efforts in Wilmington and New Castle County — bringing residents together to plant trees, grow food, revitalize vacant lots, and reimagine public spaces. From tree plantings and community gardens to workforce development and environmental education, our work lives at the intersection of horticulture, environmental justice, and community well-being. Tucked away at the back of the Center and adjacent to the rolling landscape of Brandywine Park, the Garden Pavilion is a masterclass in natural elegance. Surrounded by mature trees and meticulously tended native plants, this wood-framed structure provides an intimate and shaded setting for open-air ceremonies. Guests can stroll through the winding paths of the Demonstration Garden, discovering seasonal blooms and sustainable garden art.
