15-acre historic Tudor Revival estate with formal English gardens along the Grand River. Our elegant ballroom features crystal chandeliers and large picturesque windows. This historic Inn and ballroom combines classic elegance and a vintage feel, creating a timeless wedding experience that is unforgettable for couples and their guests. We have the perfect venue for summer and fall weddings with our vibrant gardens, or a magical winter occasion with snow covered grounds. While we host grand weddings of up to 200 guests, we also specialize in weddings as intimate as under 10 guests.

The Oxford Room

The cozy garden level library

Located on the garden level of the English Inn, the Oxford room features a stone fireplace, a terrazzo floor, and views of the terrace and gardens. Being our most intimate space, It is perfect for entertaining smaller events.

Medovue Hall

Stunningly beautiful reception hall named after the original estate built in 1927

From the marble foyer in the entrance to Medovue Hall to the elegant fixtures and furnishings, you will find this to be a charming and unique facility. The grand ballroom boasts two large chandeliers and gorgeous arched windows with views of the Grand River and gardens. Although able to accommodate up to 200 guests, Medovue is also a comfortable and warm venue for an intimate event of 50 guests.

    This was the perfect venue for us. Do you want an old-world feel and classic feeling for your wedding? This is perfect. Do you want all the amenities, modern accommodations for your wedding? This isn’t it. We wanted to feel like we were in another world for our wedding. This served as the perfect place. My husband and I stayed in the Ivy suite and his groomsmen in the Essex. This was perfect as he went to the Essex room to get ready with the groomsmen and the Ivy was perfect for the bridal party as there were multiple rooms for hair and makeup to set up. Most of the wedding party and family rented out the rooms - so we got to see those, and all were unique and beautiful in their own ways. I recommend reserving the room Bath for a bridesmaid or whomever will be steaming dresses. The pergola and Medovue Hall both were beautiful for the ceremony and reception respectively. We didn’t do a lot of decorations because I felt the beauty of the hall spoke for itself. We had the Duck for dinner - and it was perfect. Everyone raved about it. The bartenders and waitstaff were so nice and personable. Adriana was great to organize and work with. All in all, we loved our venue and highly recommend it.

    Beautiful venue. Elegant without a huge price tag. Can customize the choices and add on’s to meet individual budgets. The rooms in the main inn are vintage and charming. The cottages feature modern style. Outdoor or indoor wedding options are available.

    I reached out over a week ago for pricing information and got no response. I called today and they took FOREVER to answer the phone and then immediately put me on hold. after 3-5 mins of that, i was told "the event coordinator has been out of the office this week and will be until the 4th, she can send you over some information when she gets back in" I understand that people go on vacation and the event coordinator definitely deserves their time too, but I think someone should be managing their inboxes while they are away if it is a longer period of time. I have been dreaming of this location since I was a little girl and their lack of response and then lack of understanding/empathy on the phone made me completely write them off for a venue. It made me think "if they can't even respond to my email in a timely fashion and only ONE person can get back to me regarding even a pricing brochure, I am not confident in the way they would handle any issues that arise regarding the wedding.

    We don't have enough great things to say about The English Inn. The grounds are breathtaking and made for the perfect location for our wedding. The gardens are beautiful and well-kept and the riverfront was a peaceful backdrop for our ceremony. The on-site rooms allowed us to keep our immediate family and closest friends close which made for the perfect wedding weekend. We had great locations for getting ready which made for excellent photo ops. The staff was so friendly and considerate and went out of their way to make our weekend special. I can't thank everyone enough, especially Adriana who addressed all of my emails in a friendly, timely manner. She was constantly checking in throughout the wedding and ready to address any issues that arose. We're looking forward to spending many of our anniversaries here for years to come.
