Conveniently reached by guests from all parts of North Georgia and the suburbs of Atlanta, The Wheeler House encompasses true southern charm with its meaningfully preserved, yet restored grounds and house. Built in 1906 by John. F. Wheeler, owner of the Wheeler Lumber Yard on Main Street in Ball Ground, the house was constructed with Heart Pine tongue and grove floors, walls, ceilings, and wrap-around porches. The Wheeler House is a historic gem that has been given new life by serving as a wedding venue and special event site.

My DREAM wedding
If you’ve come across The Wheeler House, search no further this is truly the venue that will make your wedding dreams come to life. From the moment we toured the property, we knew it was something special. The charm of the historic house, the rustic elegance of the barn, and the beautiful outdoor ceremony space all came together to create the perfect setting for our big day. What truly sets The Wheeler House apart, though, is the incredible staff and how thoughtfully they’ve designed the entire wedding experience. From the start, they made planning effortless and stress-free. Their list of preferred vendors was such a lifesaver every vendor we found through them was professional, easy to work with, and aligned perfectly with the level of quality and care The Wheeler House provides. It made searching for florists, DJs, and caterers so simple, and we always felt confident that we were in good hands. Throughout the process, the team went above and beyond, from the delicious tastings and prompt, friendly text check-ins to see how planning was going, to the detailed final meeting where every last detail was covered. We always felt supported, guided, and genuinely cared for. On our wedding day, everything ran flawlessly. The staff handled every detail with professionalism, kindness, and such calm confidence that we could truly relax and just soak in every moment. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful the property was and how smooth and seamless the entire day felt. You honestly couldn’t ask for a more stunning venue or a more dedicated, organized, and caring team. The Wheeler House made our wedding day everything we had ever hoped for and so much more. We’re endlessly grateful for the memories they helped us create and would recommend them to any couple looking for a venue that not only looks magical but makes every step of the process feel that way too.

Our experience at The Wheeler House was absolutely incredible! The venue itself is breathtaking — from the scenery to the atmosphere, everything was picture-perfect. The entire day went so smoothly, and we couldn’t have asked for a better team to make our wedding dreams come true. A huge shoutout to our coordinator, Kelle, who was truly amazing from start to finish. She guided us through every detail, kept everything organized, and made the whole planning process so much easier. On the day of the wedding, she handled everything seamlessly so we could just relax and enjoy every moment. The Wheeler House made our wedding day unforgettable. It turned out even more beautiful than we could’ve imagined.
All Expectations Exceeded - TWH is AMAZING!
We cannot recommend the Wheeler House enough. If you are looking for a venue that is thoughtful, intentional, beautiful, and personalized - this is the venue for you. We worked with many different Wheeler House employees over the course of planning our wedding (Ashley, Laiken, and Kelle, especially!) and everyone is so unbelievably kind and helpful. Despite the fact that they work with weddings literally every day, they truly make it feel like yours in the only important thing happening in the world - it is just so special! The location itself is beautiful, really lovely outdoor and indoor spaces (so you never have to worry about the weather), and really customizable for your individual needs. The vendors they work with are amazing (Confection Perfection for the cakes, The TJ Show for the DJ, and Events by Dezine for the food - we got a million complements on all the vendors, and especially our food). I could go on forever. Our wedding was truly amazing and the day was absolutely perfect. All our expectations were exceeded and we truly cannot recommend The Wheeler House enough!

We just got married at the wheeler house and it was an absolute dream. The vendors and our coordinator Abby were awesome! I wouldn’t change a thing about our day thanks to the wheeler house team!
