Established in 1880, the iconic Thompson House Resort was family owned and operated for over 140 years until Wydler Hotels became the proprietor of this magical property in 2021. Wylder is lovingly restoring, reimagining and honoring the heritage of this property while reinvigorating it with a fresh spirit for the future.     The folks at Wylder Windham are the most helpful, amazing, organized, wonderful (the list goes on and on) team we have ever worked with. From the moment that we toured the venue, to our delicious wedding tasting, to the food and ambiance at the reception, to the accommodation of all the little requests made over the course of the weekend, to the hospitality they showed all of our closest friends and family, to the ease of check in and check out, they made our wedding perfect beyond words! Every space at the resort is postcard worthy beautiful. They made it so easy to have our weekend of celebration all over the property. They let us keep the party going! The food at Wylder is mouth wateringly delicious. Our guests raved about everything, including the succulent lamb chops at cocktail hour to their famous cauliflower at the reception to our brown butter and espresso wedding cake. We had the most amazing weekend because everyone involved in the preparations for our wedding went above and beyond at every turn. We are still getting messages from our guests about how magical the weekend was and how it was one of the best weddings they’ve been to (and we think it’s THE best!). We heard all weekend about how amazing the hotel team was and how helpful and kind the team had been. The team is so easy to work with and helped to bring our vision to life. We are deeply appreciative of everything they have done for us. They addressed all of our questions and all of our requests with poise and professionalism. We could not have asked for a better team to help us plan and celebrate our big day. We can’t wait to visit again soon!

    We could not have asked for a more beautiful, inclusive, and accessible venue! Knowing that the vast majority of our guests would have to fly in to our wedding, no matter where we had it, it was important to us that we had a venue we could book for the whole weekend. Combined with all of the amenities Wylder offers, it was a no-brainer. The wedding weekend would not have gone as smoothly as it did without the incredible staff, particularly Andrea and Faith. From the moment of our first phone call until we were leaving the farewell brunch, they took care of us every step of the way. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating, and Wylder truly felt like our home for the weekend. Highly recommend if you want a beautiful venue (with a lovely rain/cold weather location, which we ended up using), incredible food, and great service!
