️️️️️ A Dream Come True – The Perfect LOTR Wedding! We had our wedding at Lavender Owl Farm, and we truly could not have asked for a more magical experience. From the beginning, Lesley and Melissa went above and beyond to make our wedding everything we dreamed of—and more. Our theme was The Lord of the Rings, and Lesley (the owner and officiant) created the most beautiful and heartfelt ceremony, filled with meaningful Tolkien references and touches of nerd culture that made it feel personal, unique, and unforgettable. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. Surrounded by nature, every corner feels alive with beauty. You can see how everything was built with respect and love for the land, blending harmoniously with the trees and natural landscape. It’s not only stunning—it’s also very accessible and thoughtfully designed. They also took care of the decor, setup, and all venue services, which allowed us to relax and truly enjoy the day. The bridal suite was cozy, elegant, and comfortable—perfect for preparing and spending quiet moments before the ceremony. Everything flowed perfectly, every detail was handled with care, and the result was even better than we ever imagined. Lavender Owl Farm didn’t just host our wedding—they brought our fantasy to life. Thank you, Lesley and Melissa, for making it absolutely perfect. You truly outdid yourselves.

The team at Ironlight have created something so special. People choose to get married in the PNW because of the unparalleled beauty. But....we also have to deal with wind, and the occasional smoke from a wild fire. Because mother nature can be so fickle, its important to have a venue that has flexible options. And that, Ironlight has in spades. Their indoor space is elegant with incredible natural light. It is truly a space every couple can customize and make their own. Their outdoor patios allow couple and guests alike to enjoy our beautiful days and nights, with one deck showing off a view of Mt. Hood, and the other highlighting our amazing PNW sunsets. While the space is beautiful and so thoughtfully designed, I also appreciate the other amenities like a dedicated parking lot and garage, easy loading dock for vendors, fully private restrooms, and complete handicap accessibility. And while the venue speaks for itself, I also want to highlight the customer service this venue offers. Their team is made up of brilliant, service oriented women and everything from the ease of tours, to internal processes to client communication is done with care and thoughtfulness. Definitely schedule time to reach out to Ironlight. It truly is a gem! Kim

A home built for love, weddings, celebrations, and joyous new beginnings that have stood the test time. • Pets can join the celebration

Venue considerations

  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
Awarded Best of Zola
The Victorian Belle was everything we dreamed of for our wedding and more. The mansion and gardens are absolutely breathtaking, magical, romantic, and full of flowers. During our ceremony, bunnies even popped out of the hedges to watch, which felt straight out of a fairy tale! The lighting in the reception tent was warm and enchanting, and the whole atmosphere made the day unforgettable. The staff were phenomenal from start to finish. They were kind, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was stress-free. They set everything up for us, kept us on track with the timeline, and even brought drinks from the bar without us having to ask. Communication was excellent throughout the entire planning process — Diana, the coordinator, was the friendliest, most helpful person we could have hoped for, always quick to respond and endlessly accommodating. As a bride in a wheelchair, accessibility was a big concern for me, and I can’t say enough about how thoughtful and inclusive they were. They rearranged furniture to ensure ease of movement, set up the bridal suite on the ground floor so I could get ready comfortably, and made every adjustment possible to ensure my day was just as easy and beautiful as it would be for anyone else. That level of care meant so much. The catering, which comes with the venue, was absolutely divine. Guests raved that it was the best wedding food they’d ever had. The staff let us fully customize the menu, including vegan options for things that weren't listed as vegan, and everything was delicious. They even packed up leftovers for us to take home, which we loved. Flexibility was a huge strength of this venue. They let us customize décor, set up special tables for speakers and a memorial area, and made the whole day feel like it was truly ours. Our guests are still telling us it was the most beautiful wedding they’ve ever attended, and we couldn’t agree more. If you’re looking for a venue that’s gorgeous, affordable, accessible, and filled with caring, professional staff, I can’t recommend the Victorian Belle highly enough. They gave us the wedding of our dreams.

The space itself was elegant yet comfortable, with large windows to showcase the views and a great dance floor. My partner and I looked at a couple of wedding venues in the first stages of planning, and once we visited the Aerie we knew immediately it was the right fit. We rented The Cave - their smaller outdoor venue - and it fit our vision for the day perfectly. It felt rustic and secluded without having to drive an hour outside of Portland, and it was simply gorgeous. Natasha who we worked with for the year in the lead up was phenomenal - we felt listened to and taken care of with her. We're so happy to have had our special day at the Aerie!!

Our wedding in Abigail’s Garden was such a wonderful experience. The staff, the food, and the grounds were all fantastic. The weekend rate was out of our budget but we were able to cut the cost in half by booking a Thursday. The only downside to the venue was that we weren’t able to have a true rehearsal until the day of, and we weren’t able to access the venue until 3:30pm without paying more. First, if you have not stayed at the Allison Inn and Spa, that is a must! Second, if you are engaged you need to have your wedding here! My daughter's wedding was held here in August of 2024. The grounds and layout at the Allison are spectacular and perfect for a wedding. We had the ceremony in the lower Meadow Garden which was perfectly shaded as it was a sunny hot day. Then we had the cocktail hour on the lawn, followed by dinner and dancing in the ballroom. Truly the best venue!!! But most importantly it was the staff at the Allison. EVERYONE was so incredibly nice and kind. From Kameron, manager of wedding and social events, all the valets, chef, bartenders, waitstaff, and so many more that I met over the 4 days were constantly helpful, kind, and professional. The food was delicious and very well presented!! The specialty cocktails were such a hit and made to perfection. The desserts and baked goods were delicious. Kameron was such a delight to work with. She was extremely responsive to all our emails. She had many other events happening before and after our event but she always made us feel like we were so important. Kameron was always cheerful and pleasant to work with. Looking forward to going back to stay as guest again soon. This time, no wedding, just rest and relaxation!

We had our wedding at The Barn and it was absolutely wonderful. The Barn is a stunning and versatile venue. We loved the location because it’s right off of I5 which is convenient for those traveling from out of town, but it’s tucked away on it’s own property so there is no disturbances from traffic. Our wedding was in April so we really needed a venue that could accommodate an indoor ceremony in case the weather did not turn out nice. We ended up having our 240 person ceremony and reception inside The Barn and it still felt spacious. Our photos were taken in the outdoor ceremony space which has some really incredible views of the mountains. Kayla, the venue manager, was extremely pleasant to work with. She answered all questions we had and was helpful in letting us arrange multiple visits to the venue for planning purposes. Dustin, the owner, is very friendly and easy to talk to. Both of them make a great team. We highly recommend them to anyone who is planning a wedding or any large event.

There are so many amazing venues in our area, but finding one that has been created with such care and attention to detail and experience can be a bit more challenging. This property offers so much variety for both indoor and outdoor locations, and every single one is picture perfect. The indoor options all have tons of natural light, and great lay-outs. The entire indoor-outdoor flow is also very well planned, between all the buildings, and outdoor spaces. As a photographer, I often wonder why venues are laid out the way they are when it comes to the position of the sun, timing of ceremony, best sunset lighting, etc etc. But even the gorgeous outdoor lawn under the ancient tree is in the most scenic spot for perfect light. A photographer's true dream venue for sure! And I haven't even mentioned how kind and attentive the owners are yet! They will feel like your best friends for the day, and will help however they can to make your vision come to life. It's clear that Redland Family Farm is a project of love, and I can't wait to visit again and photograph more events there!
