Our wedding was beautiful, we couldn’t have asked for a better day or venue. The castle was a stunning backdrop for our wedding. We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception at Meyer’s Castle and each piece came perfectly together. The newly redecorated bridal suite is gorgeous and my bridal party and I felt like royalty getting ready. The florals and gardens were stunning and there is an Instagram worthy photo spot around every corner. Our coordinator, Eva, did a great job setting up all of our decor and was very communicative throughout the planning process. Eva and the MC team accommodated everything we wanted to include on our special day and our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about our wedding. Everyone loved the food and even loved the table wine, numerous guests took photos of the wine so that they could buy a bottle later on. We are so glad to have started the rest of our lives together after saying “I Do” at Meyer’s Castle; surrounded by family, friends, and 2 beautiful peacocks that roam the grounds.

I absolutely loved my wedding at Elmcrest Banquets. Their team and staff were so lovely to work with. They had so many options for me to customize the dream wedding I was envisioning. We had our rehersal dinner at Segnatore last week. We rented out the space for two and a half hours and had 21 guests (three of which were children). They were so great and thorough in their communication, and we were more than accomodated. My MIL has a gluten allergy, and they made sure she was included in every course. She told us afterward that she has never been so taken care of by a restaurant. I also found out the day before that my BFF was expecting, and they had N/A bubbles and mocktails for her so she could be involved in all of the toasts. HIGHLY recommend Segnatore for your private event needs!

Intimacy is hard to achieve in a venue and nowadays with the crushing oppression of minimalism, even more difficult to find. What I love about Lou Lou is that it has all of the necessary staples of a well run restaurant but none of the chaos. The decor is warm and welcoming, the tables are a pleasant lighter wood that invokes a bright memory of sitting in the kitchen of the cool aunt. Textured pieces of art and pottery grace the walls and delicate white curtains frame the front windows to give the diners privacy. I love that I can see the chefs working diligently behind the counter and that the flow of the space draws your eye down the line and to the cute little stage in the back. This could be used for a jazz trio, a sweetheart table or an emotional speech at a rehearsal dinner. Regardless, the space is unique and I am certain, will become as precious to the community as it is to me and my family.

We are so grateful we had the Fairlie as our wedding venue. The entire team is amazing and so helpful. It is a stunning and reasonably priced location. We did not have a wedding planner nor coordinator and I feel that was possible because of the help of the great Fairlie team - Alison, Alexis, and Orlando were amazing. They helped us build out our day of timeline and helped so much with last minute items that came up. We had no clue who to choose as a caterer & it was great that their team requires you to work with one of their preferred caterers - we could not have been happier with the caterer we met because of the Fairlie. Because they do this - everything is seamless. Our guests could not stop commenting on how gorgeous of a venue the Fairlie is. Choose the Fairlie - it's the most beautiful venue in Chicago!

We could not have been happier with our decision to get married at Walden! From the moment we booked our date, the planning process was made seamless and actually enjoyable thanks to the incredible built-in planning team, Kalila and Ally. Having coordinators included in the cost of the venue was such a valuable bonus, and they truly made all the difference. Kalila and Ally were there with us every step of the way, staying on top of every detail for our 18-month engagement/wedding planning journey. They reached out to vendors, followed up on our behalf when needed, and offered spot-on recommendations that perfectly suited our vision and budget. Their guidance and expertise helped us make the best choices, and their input kept us calm and organized. On top of their professionalism, they were so down-to-earth and fun to work with, bringing energy and laughter to every planning session and making the entire experience even more memorable. One of the highlights was the collaborative online planning tool we had access to as part of booking Walden. It kept everything organized in one place, allowing us to easily stay in touch with our planners, track tasks, and manage finances and contracts. It was loaded with helpful resources, making planning a breeze. Walden provided us with much more than a beautiful venue. They gave us an incredible planning experience and an amazing team that felt like family by the time the wedding arrived. The entire wedding party and all the family members who were there the entire day of the wedding had nothing but amazing things to say too...they were all shocked at how much support we had throughout the entire day to the point where we did not have to lift a finger. And don't even get us started on the food and bar...we've never been complimented more in our lives. We were shocked at how insanely good the food and drinks were at our tasting party months before the wedding, but we were curious if it would live up to the hype on our actual wedding day where we had 216 guests. It might've been even better on our wedding day! Guests were raving about our food and drinks. We were told by nearly every guest that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding, bar none. We even had sober people come up to us and go on and on about how amazing even the mocktails were. The only thing we regret is being too excited and not having enough of an appetite to truly enjoy dinner as the bride and groom. But even so, our planning team made sure the servers packaged up our entrees so we could take them home a few days later when we came back to the venue to pick up our belongings. Honestly, there are a million other reasons why we'd recommend Walden for your wedding venue, but this is already getting to be too long of a review. Basically, if you’re looking for an all-inclusive venue where you’re genuinely taken care of every step of the way, we cannot recommend Walden highly enough! Thank you, Kalila and Ally, the entire bar/service staff, and truly just everyone at Walden for helping make our wedding day everything we dreamed of and more! Royal Palms has always held a special place in our hearts. At the beginning of our relationship, I joined a league with my now-husband’s best friends. Shuffleboard (and Shuffleboard Bobs) brought us together, and they welcomed me into the group. We were league regulars and made some great memories, even though we rarely won a game. When we got engaged, we knew we wanted an untraditional wedding experience and were so excited that Royal Palms was willing to host us - their first wedding! Their events coordinator, Taylor, was just as enthusiastic and worked closely with us to plan an incredible event. We walked down a shuffleboard aisle on the roof while the Blue Line passed behind us, making for some incredible photos. Captain Scott gave our guests tutorials while they ate Big Star tacos from a truck and drank amazing cocktails. The energy was incredible, and it meant the world to us to see our families and friends connecting over rounds of shuffleboard. Hosting was easy - the space is already so beautiful that we did not bring in any decorations! No flowers or linens needed. Catering from a food truck was fun and unique. The photo station was fully stocked with props. The AV equipment was ready for a DJ and we kept our custom playlist bumping all night. The bartenders kept energy high and drinks flowing all night (truly the best bar in the city, in my opinion!). We danced and ate and played for hours. Our guests still talk about this night to this day. It was a party to remember, which is exactly what we wanted. Even better than the wonderful memories, pictures, and stories is the fact that we can go back whenever we want to relive the night. Even after two kids, we still make a point of playing a round of shuffleboard every year on our anniversary - it will be 6 years this fall! We cannot thank the Royal Palms staff enough for working with us. They are high-energy and fun, and they are also professional and take their clients’ experience very seriously. You would never know ours was their first wedding - they had every single detail covered, resulting in a seamless night. I look back on that night with nothing but happy memories. I wouldn’t change a single thing!

We just had our wedding at Formento’s and were *amazed* by the space, food, service, vibes and overall experience. We were shocked they can fit 120 people for a wedding (or even 130 if you’re okay getting a bit cozy)—and we were so thrilled we could have a larger guest list *and* restaurant-quality (very quality!!) food and drink. Don’t pay to rent a space and bring in meh food. Have your wedding at Formento’s you will never regret it!! Their events team is immaculate: India, Karen, Julie, and so many more, and it felt like everyone from the events team to the service staff were celebrating with us. Simply the best. We’ll be back for every anniversary

This review is long overdue! If you are looking for amazing food and service for your wedding, cocktail party, corporate event, or honestly, ANY event catering and service you need, you can’t go wrong with Lisa and her team at Kuma’s. One of the top three important items we wanted to concentrate on for our wedding was the catering (food and service). We have been big fans of Kuma’s for a long time which led me to look at them for our catering needs. We looked at a few places which we thought would work for our vibe, but after meeting with Lisa, we knew we had to have Kuma’s catering. Starting with the tasting, refining the menu before the day, as well as the actual day, Lisa was extremely responsive and communicative and really worked with us and our budget to make sure our day was memorable and special. Their sliders are exceptionally delicious (make sure to get the chicken Iron Maiden), and despite them being known for their burgers, Kuma’s has the capability to accommodate all sorts of dietary restrictions including vegans, vegetarians, those with gluten free and dairy allergies, and even the pickiest of kids! We had nine kids attending our wedding and I was concerned they would not enjoy the sliders as much as the adults. Lisa offered to provide a tray of chicken tenders with sauces for the kiddos to accommodate them to go along with the mac and cheese we had put on the menu. Moreover, everything is prepared fresh and never frozen, which is remarkable in today’s market. The basil vinaigrette used for the house salad was made fresh the day of and if I could, I’d buy a bottle every week. Furthermore, there are special items you can only get with catering, and we highly suggest ordering the buffalo chicken bites, jalapeno popper bites, and especially the artichoke dip. They were out of this world amazing. Everyone left extremely satisfied and we still get compliments on how amazingly delicious the food was, not to mention the exceptional level of service. Lisa was extremely attentive and beyond helpful with set up and clearing and made sure we didn’t have anything to worry about at the end of the night. Nick, our bartender, was super helpful with last-minute tasks before guests arrived, and made sure everyone had a drink and were taken well care of. As I said before, we were big fans of Kuma’s prior to our wedding and this experience just cemented our love for them even more. We will definitely use them for our catering needs in the future. If you are looking for something unique and special that will have everyone remembering your event in the best possible way, we highly recommend you book Kuma’s!

I used AVEC for my daughter pre-wedding event for the family and close friends of the bride and husband. The staff at AVEC really made it a life time memorable experience to last for everyone. As for the reception, the appetizers/ hors-d’oeuvre was excellent. The open bar and the wine selection made a difference for those who attended. For the friends of my daughters, AVEC was one of the restaurant that they envied to dine at and the second floor atmosphere made it a unique experience. As for the sit down dinner for the family, it become a highlight for both family history. The wine selection for dinner was memorable and was an experience which cannot be replicated. The food was excellent and the how the family style serving provided an atmosphere for everyone closer and to become “one family”. In my mind , this was one of the top experience I have had including my time as working and living as a top executive in the Chicago area in the past 20 years. I have organized and attended dinner events for business but this experience at AVEC was the one I enjoyed the most and is ranked as my number one. I have to say that all dining experience, the staff at AVEC served us and others with a kind, friendly, and proactive way which led making the whole dining experience one that can not match by other restaurants in Chicago or anywhere around the world. As a Japanese we are used to high quality personalized services but AVEC in the West Loop is in our mind belongs in the top league worldwide. I recommend AVEC with the highest level and without any hesitation if you are seeking a life time experience to be remembered for generations.

We found Sepia Private Dining and it was the perfect venue for our small wedding (50 guests). The Sepia staff did almost everything to make my wedding everything I wanted. The mirror on the wall and the decor matched our vibe. We had one set-up for the ceremony, then the guests had appetizers (we left to take pictures) and they changed the set-up for dinner and then moved a couple of tables for dancing later. I did not have a wedding planner and they made everything easy, from planning the menu to the set-up it was a stress free day! I would strongly recommend Sepia Private Dining for all of your smaller events.
