Words cannot describe this magical venue- you have to see it to believe it! It's literally breathtaking. The staff were amazing from the early communication to my day of event manager (the two ladies helped me A LOT!). Amanda was someone who I worked with on my multiple visits and she is an absolute gem! The staff helped make my vision a reality and even a month later, people are still raving about our wedding. The venue is so gorgeous (think double deck cabin style) that it needs minimalist decor (they even have a rental room you can use for the decor) because the scenery is more than enough for pictures. The layout of your event is very up to you with multiple options for where you would want the ceremony to be held. I loved using the patio for the ceremony (gorgeous trees as the backdrop), then held the reception inside (main level with bar deck), and had the dancing back out on the patio (the staff cleared the space but left chairs and benches along the outer rim). The nearby fire pit was perfect for a s'mores station and the side of the building has a nice grassy lawn where guests also enjoyed corn hole. The bridal suite is of good size with a full bathroom and a private deck (my ladies and I enjoyed our morning to the fullest), and then there are two other smaller suites (we did groom suite and the other room was to co-mingle). The staff let me plan multiple week day visits prior to my official planning meeting so that I could get measurements for things, scope out the layout and really get my vision put together on my time. My family and friends all loved staying in the treehouses (what a cool experience itself!). The bar is included with the venue (AMAZING packages with more options included in each than I have seen anywhere else- even with the basic package) so I just had to focus on the decor and the food (catering and desserts). You do only get the venue the day-of unless you luck out and pay for early set-up the day prior (I got lucky with my Saturday wedding and was able to come in Friday to decorate but they are normally booked with Friday weddings). Lots of parking made it convenient for guests. I included multiple photos (credit to Travis Lontoc) to help give an idea of the space and how we used it.

Our family enjoyed one of the best events of our lives at the Barn of Hidden Valley as we gathered for a family reunion. Next up - We are not newlyweds but planning to celebrate 50 years of marriage with family and friends by renewing vows at the Barn of Hidden Valley. It will be the greatest event next to the first time we said "I Do". The setting is everything you could hope for. Picturesque, quiet, serene. So much room both inside and outdoors to celebrate any function you could imagine. It was obvious on our first visit that the hosts at the Barn have thought of everything to make your event unforgettable. From the interior decor to the outdoors landscape and natural setting, it is perfect, especially for weddings. There are so many areas to take photos that are a photographer's dream. The Barn can be decorated to suit your taste, or, it is beautiful on its own with a warm, inviting environment. The amenities are accommodating, a wonderful kitchen, bride and groom dressing rooms, comfortable seating areas, outdoor areas are nature's best. Can you picture a stream meandering nearby with a bridge that is perfect for photo snaps. Our family highly recommends the Barn at Hidden Valley for weddings, family reunions, corporate events. Outside catering is not permitted at this venue. With three different room sizes covering 30,000 square feet of ballrooms, host a celebration of any size and style. The Makoy is a full-service wedding venue with in-house catering, alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverage options and many linen options for the color and design desired. The way everything came together looked absolutely wonderful and exceeded our expectations by far. The decor was done so beautifully and we were very impressed. The food was amazing, the bartender was great and super friendly and every single guest made comments to me about how wonderful the event was and how nice the venue was. We could not be any happier with our decision to get married at the Makoy. It was absolutely perfect!!!

I simply cannot say enough AMAZING things about Heart of it All Cabins. From very first finding them online, to our visit, and to our actual wedding day- it was PERFECT. The property is gorgeous and absolutely made for a dream wedding back drop. Communication was flawless and I always had all the answers before I could even think of a question! We had a small family ceremony and it was the perfect set up. I truly believe it would accommodate any size wedding beautifully. I was able to get ready in the Pinnacle and my husband got ready in the Alto. With the cabins so close together it was a perfect distance to be close enough while being separate but have zero logistical worries. We were able to hang out for the weekend and enjoy both cabins before our big day. Both A-Frames played a huge part in making our photos beautiful and making our wedding day as perfect as I imagined. Additionally, we have a place to come back for future anniversaries or special occasions which makes it that much more special. I will ALWAYS be so thankful and grateful for Heart of it All and we cannot wait to return time and time again. If you need any convincing to have your wedding here- this is it. You will not be disappointed.

In 2016, Cedar Grove’s owners, Kevin and Julie Claus, were sitting on the porch of Stillwater Lodge with some friends, gazing upon their 65-acre property. With 6 cabins and 2 lodges running smoothly, it was time to start planning for their next adventure. They talked about their 3 children growing up on the property, and reminisced on how so many milestones were celebrated. With all their kids growing up, they talked about them finding love and how wonderful it would be to see them married on the property where they shared so many memories. That was the day the dream began! Kevin quickly grabbed a napkin and feverishly started scribbling sketches of a large lodge that could hold all of their friends and family, celebrating the futures of their children. In true Claus fashion, they did not let this vision pass them by, and got to working on the lodge right away.
