From the moment we first spoke with Donna, the owner, we were impressed by her warmth, accessibility, and understanding of our unique needs. The venue itself is truly gorgeous, with an expansive barn and grounds that offered us many options to bring our vision to life. The family-owned farm is a labor of love, and you can feel the passion they have for sharing this breathtaking scenery with all who visit. Our event was not a traditional wedding, but Donna was open to our ideas and helped us create a day that was a wonderful tribute to our mother. My daughter and her husband chose Milton Ridge for their wedding venue. I live on the opposite coast so I had no opportunity to have a look myself. She and her husband were very happy with the layout of the property and the location. She assured me that staff were warm and friendly as well as very professional and that all questions were addressed promptly and in great detail. My daughter and her husband felt listened to and respected by everyone at Milton Ridge. I was anxious but it was their wedding and they had done a lot of research! I am overjoyed that they chose Milton Ridge for their very special day!! I spoke to many guests and family members that day and evening; everyone had high praise for the couple’s choice of venue. The property is self-contained with a beautiful turn of the century chapel on the lower level of the property and a very large bricked patio on the upper level; with an enormous wooden gazebo at one end and tiered garden area at the opposite end. Indoor or outdoor wedding?? Hard to choose as both areas are sooooo lovely. The Bridal suite and Grooms quarter are in a building adjacent to the chapel on the lower level of the property. Another turn of the century building with Bridal suite, porch and porch swing on the ground level and the Grooms quarters on the 2nd level via a private enclosed stairway; providing total privacy for both parties and their respective entourages. Both areas were very well appointed, comfortable and large; plenty of room for multiple people in each area to get ready for the big day! The Reception Hall was on the upper level with a porch and short stairway leading from the hall to the outdoor patio. The Hall was fresh and bright with plenty of room for DJ, tables, dance floor, bar and buffet without feeling overfilled or crowded. Bride and Groom chose the bar-b-que menu for their dinner; it was beautifully presented, delicious and plentiful. No one left Milton Ridge hungry that evening! The wait staff and bartenders were all very attentive and had obviously been very well trained at table service and bar service respectively. Music was provided by a DJ who was contracted by Milton Ridge and was included with the package that my daughter and her husband had chosen. The selection was a mix of old and new with the focus of getting the guests up and dancing. He was very good at his job and he accomplished his goal! Last but definitely not least; the photographer; also contracted with Milton Ridge! He was amazing!!! The unique shots, quality and beauty of his work left us speechless. He was everywhere, but never in the way, always inconspicuous and watching for that perfect candid shot. Even his posed photos had a very relaxed casual look about them. All photos were organized and available to the newlyweds on the Milton Ridge website within 10days of their wedding day!! ALL pictures belong to her and her husband to print, copy and share with whoever they wish!! Milton Ridge exceeded my expectation and I would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone!!

AMAZING! Just amazing job done by Colt and his team. I was panicking when I got to the venue because hair and makeup ran an hour over, he assured me we were fine and we’d have plenty of time. He kept us on schedule for the ceremony and reception and just was there every second. Once we got into the reception he brought my husband and I ice packs and put them in the back of our shirt/dress. He made sure we got food, drinks, etc. Colt is amazing. The venue is BEAUTIFUL! Everyone told me how amazing the venue was and the food was so good. The cake was absolutely amazing. The DJ was amazing! We had the best time. I can’t recommend Jordan Springs Estate enough. You won’t be disappointed.

I honestly can't say enough amazing things about The Antrim 1844 Hotel! We had the most incredible wedding experience here, and I'm so grateful we found this gem. We actually heard about Antrim from a coworker whose family had their wedding there last spring. It wasn't even on our radar before that, but now I can't imagine our wedding taking place anywhere else! During our planning process, we got to see so many different weddings they were hosting, and I was blown away by their unique ability to make everything from small intimate gatherings to expansive celebrations not just work, but work beautifully! They really know how to adapt to each couple's vision. Working with Jill was such a joy! She made the entire planning process feel effortless and actually fun. She was so flexible with all our changes and took the time to walk us through backup plans for weather, which gave us such peace of mind knowing we were covered no matter what. We got lucky with lovely weather and got married in their rose garden, and oh my goodness - it was so breathtakingly gorgeous that we barely needed to add any decorations! The natural beauty spoke for itself and created the most romantic, dreamy backdrop for our vows. Having so many family members and friends traveling to join us, the wedding weekend stay option was a game-changer! The complimentary breakfast for overnight guests was such a thoughtful touch - it meant everyone could wake up together and start each day without any stress about finding food. It really made the whole wedding weekend feel like one big family celebration. The bridal suite in the main mansion was absolutely perfect for getting ready! There was space for our entire wedding party plus my mom and friends to get ready together, and it provided the most beautiful backdrop for photos. We got so many stunning getting-ready shots in that gorgeous space! The food was absolutely delicious - both during our tasting and on the big day! Our guests are still raving about it. The team worked so seamlessly with all our other vendors too, making sure everyone felt welcomed and taken care of. We were thrilled about the veterans discount, which let us add some extra special touches like a dessert bar, upgraded appetizers, and shade canopies for the ceremony. They made it so easy to customize everything within our budget. Every single guest has told us what an amazing time they had, and we're already excited to come back for anniversaries! We've heard their holiday decorations are absolutely spectacular, so we're definitely planning a winter visit. One standout feature that set Highland apart was the spacious and private getting-ready area for the bridal party. This was a big plus for us as some other venues we looked at charged extra for spaces like that. The delicious food was served promptly, and every order was accurate. Our guests were impressed with the quality and taste. Highland Taps & Tables is truly a hidden gem, and we feel lucky to have discovered it for our special day. The owners of Union Mills, Niko and Mary, are FANTASTIC human beings. They are kind, funny, and creative. They are wonderful to work with, created a beautiful venue, and serve delicious food. Their staff did a great job flipping the ceremony space into the reception space. The chandeliers in the reception area are gorgeous and the lighting in the cocktail hour space side is really cool. I highly recommend Union Mills for your next event!

The Lodges at Gettysburg was a beautiful, magical place to host our wedding! From the get-go, Beth Senseney was wanting to help make our dreams a reality. She answered ALL of my many questions throughout the wedding process, and is very good at her job. It was very convenient to have everything on property, from ceremony-reception to the afterparty. The bridal suite is gorgeous, and our day-of coordinator, Matia, was phenomenal. She’s on top of everything, and quick to resolve little issues, like when a bridesmaid didn’t have a chair. Matia was even down by the ceremony site fanning me before I walked down the aisle, because I was crying- it was such a wonderful day, and all of our guests kept saying how much they enjoyed it. The food was delicious, and the champagne was amazing. Coming back to our lodge at the end of the evening, we found cupcakes and extra food from the reception in our mini fridge, and couldn’t help but smile. While it was an expensive choice of venue/food, as the food is required to come from the Lodges, you get what you pay for. There was a miscommunication with the welcome bags, and the front desk employee did not seem to enjoy her job, but we figured it out (thank you!). Thank you, Beth, Matia, and the team, for helping us have the best day, ever!

My daughter's wedding was absolutely perfect at Turf Valley. She had her reception in the garden and her reception in the Waterford Ballroom. We opted for the extra hour plus the cocktail hour and the night still flew by. The sales office staff (Carol) was so easy to work with and very responsive to all of our questions. The staff during the night of the wedding bent over backwards to make the event exactly as we wanted. Everyone was extremely professional and accommodating. I would highly recommend Turf Valley as a wedding venue to anyone.

We rented half the upstairs area in Blue Pit for our rehearsal dinner and I have a feeling it won't be the last time we reach out to Blue Pit for an event or catering. Cara, the owner, is wonderful and very accommodating. The space is cute and quirky and doesn't need much decoration for events. The food is DELICIOUS every single time we visit and this was no exception. Our bartender and main point of contact for the night was Brad, who was amazing every step of the way. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose Blue Pit every time. You can't go wrong here.

We were the first wedding that True Chesapeake had done and they exceeded our expectations. We really had a unique wedding experience thanks to them. Guests had access to an oyster bar right when they walk in as well as an open bar. Planning was easy because almost everything was through True Chesapeake. They set up the chairs for our ceremony, then flipped the room. They set up the bridal party space with drinks and snacks so we didn’t go hungry. Communicating with their team was easy, punctual , and efficient. The food was obviously in house and AMAZING! Everyone said we had the best wedding food. Our wedding felt like exactly what we wanted!

On April 13, 2024, we held our wedding and reception at the Gaithersburg Marriott Washingtonian Center. During the planning of our wedding, we worked with Amy, Sonia, and finally Katherine to create our ideal day. All were very pleasant, knowledgeable, flexible and accommodating with our arrangements, and were very responsive answering numerous questions that we had. The wedding set up was exactly as discussed and the transition from outdoor to indoor on the day of the wedding (way too windy a day for an outdoor ceremony) was seamless, thanks to the wonderful staff! The reception area, bar, and food was set up exactly as had been discussed and the food was delicious! All of the guests commented on how wonderful the food and staff were. Staff also was very helpful with connecting our music through the hotel's WIFI system. We were even given a room for dressing and preparing for the ceremony. The atmosphere was very relaxed and professional (but not stuffy) and we never felt rushed or anxious about any of the arrangements. The amount owed was exactly what we had been told so there were no surprises there. Overall, it was a perfect day and the staff and facilities at the Marriott couldn't have been any better. I would not hesitate to hold any future events there, knowing the kind attention paid to every detail to make every event special.

We spent months researching barn/farm venues in Virginia, and there were clear differences between the commercial barn venues (fake) and the true country barn venues. Faith Like a Mustard Seed Farm (FLAMS) fell into our laps when we were searching the historical area and farmlands of Leesburg. Bonus #1: it’s an active farm with variety of animals that you can interact with and take pictures with! Not only do they advertise a classic red barn, there is a separate cocktail building with a backroom for the groomsmen, a cute cottage for the bridal party, and a pond down the hill with big willow tree that’s the perfect secluded spot for the first look! Bonus #2: FLAMS owners Patricia and Karl are two of the most kind-hearted, hard-working, and genuine people we’ve ever met! From the moment we first drove down the gravel road and Patricia was waving in excitement for us, we felt so welcome! During our walkthrough of the venue, seeing all the beautiful ceremony and reception options, we got to meet some of the farm animals and hear about the success story of their dream venture and where the name came from. It couldn’t have been a more meaningful story and we felt as if it was meant to be! We booked the venue months in advance for a June 2025 wedding, placed a deposit and signed the contract - which was simple and less than 10 pages. We found out we were pregnant in November 2024, and quickly called Patricia to discuss options. They were open to moving the date one time (which is outlined in their contract) as long as the date was open, so we moved it up to April 2025. They were genuinely excited for us and reassured us it would be the perfect day at the perfect time of the season. We wanted to do things a little untraditional and simplify things to make it easier on me considering I would be six months pregnant by then. We planned for a pre-wedding cocktail hour with drinks and some of our favorite snacks, (bonus #3: they setup a photoshoot for the guests with the mini horses!) We were able to pull off a pre-staged setup in the barn for the ceremony, dinner, and big reception, all without having to do any major rearrangements in between. We had an open bar the entire time, dinner buffet, DJ was setup on a stage in the corner, perfect display for our wedding cake, (bonus #4: Karl is a licensed officiant so we were blessed to have him marry us) and the whole plan was wonderfully executed by all. Even with the crazy weather (rain on and off all morning, and wild winds that shook the barn in even the quietest moments) Patricia and Karl did everything in their power to make our day smooth sailing and flawless. If something didn’t go as planned, it was resolved with the wedding coordinator before we ever knew about it! By the end of the night, we were all gathered on the dance floor, drinks up celebrating, and I remember seeing Patricia and Karl dancing alongside everyone. I was hoping they would get to enjoy their evening with us just as much as we got to enjoy ours, literally thanks to all their hard work and efforts to make our wedding day perfect. Faith Like a Mustard Seed Farm wasn’t just the perfect farm wedding venue with the perfect old red barn like I always dreamed of. It became one of the most sentimental places in our lives, on one of the most sentimental days of our lives, with every sentimental person in our lives - including Patricia and Karl. “Highly recommended” isn’t the proper term, it’s a MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE!

The Perfect Venue for Our Wedding We cannot recommend Guilford Hall enough as a wedding venue. From the moment we first toured the space, we knew it was the perfect fit for us. The combination of the industrial aesthetic with Art Deco details set the stage for an unforgettable celebration. We held our ceremony in the Beer Garden, hosted cocktail hour in the Beer Garden using the Cocktail Room and Cigar Lounge, and had our reception upstairs in the Crown Room. The flow of the event worked perfectly, and the pictures we captured in those spaces are absolutely incredible. The venue fit our style in every way. We chose a buffet for dinner, and it was amazing. Our guests are still talking about how much they loved the food—especially the crab cakes, chicken, and steak. Our signature drinks were made just how we wanted them, and the bar service was top-notch. A huge shoutout to Chef Mauricio and the entire kitchen staff for going above and beyond to help us curate the perfect menu and flawlessly serving 115 guests. The food was incredible and never stopped coming—our guests couldn’t stop raving. We also want to give special recognition to Dani, the Events Planner at Guilford Hall. Dani made us feel incredibly comfortable from start to finish. She went out of her way multiple times to make sure everything went smoothly and that we felt at ease throughout the process. Her attention to detail was unmatched, and without her, we would have been all over the place. She is absolutely incredible—if you have the chance to work with her, take it. She went above and beyond every step of the way to make our day perfect. Working with the entire Guilford Hall team was an absolute breeze. Every staff member was professional, accommodating, and dedicated to making our vision come to life.
