We had our wedding at Skyview Golf Club, and I truly can’t say enough great things about the entire experience — from the very beginning of the planning process all the way through to the big day. Our coordinator, Jenn, was absolutely amazing. She and her team went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Jenn was organized, responsive, and incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. Her calm and confident presence made planning so much less stressful, and on the day of, she was a total rockstar — making sure every detail was perfect so we could just relax and enjoy the moment. The staff overall was incredible — attentive, friendly, and genuinely helpful. They made us and our guests feel so well taken care of. Speaking of our guests, they are still raving about the food and the views! The cocktail hour spread was unreal, and the dinner was equally impressive. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking — it gave our wedding the perfect backdrop and made for some stunning photos and unforgettable memories. Words cannot express what a fantastic job the management of Mountainville Manor did. If we even paused to think, there was staff ready to help. The food was AMAZING!! The service was even better! We cannot say enough amazing things about Bello Giorno Estate. The location of the estate is adjacent to a small river, which made for absolutely spectacular wedding photos. Think Secret Garden meets Italian Villa! We also loved the intimate feel of the banquet hall, which was the perfect fit for our wedding size. Our guests loved the food and service. Even though we planned our wedding remotely, working with Monica and Stephanie was incredibly easy, as they were very responsive to both email and phone calls. We felt like they went above and beyond to accommodate us and tailor our wedding so it would be perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to hold our wedding. Thank you Bello Giorno!

The Italian Academy for Advanced Studies is a fellowship program for post-doctoral scholars, who work in offices on the fourth and fifth floors of Columbia University's Casa Italiana building, the Academy's home on the main Morningside campus. (We also produce a variety of prestigious public events.) The building is located on Amsterdam Avenue just south of 118th Street. Wedding celebrations are most often in the Teatro, the 2nd-floor 2000-sq-foot ballroom with an adjacent outdoor terrace. We give several options for superb full-service caterers who consistently provide excellent food and service at fair prices. The Italian Academy provides a Public Safety guard, custodial cleaner, optional chairs and AV equipment, and a house manager to assist with making your planning easy and pleasant. We often hear that however beautiful the photos our visitors have seen may be, they only appreciate the space fully during a visit. So we look forward to meeting you--and congratulations.

My husband and I chose the Envue Hotel to be our all-in-one wedding venue and hotel room block. We actually signed our contract two years ago when a different management team was in place. After signing the contract, a new management team came in, and we could not have been more amazed with the level of service. It truly was a blessing in disguise. Chris and his team are truly one of a kind. From day one, Chris jumped in and truly became a partner in our wedding planning process. He was not only great at communicating, but also open to collaborating to make it the day of our dreams. I feel like so many venues we visited put numerous restrictions in place, but Chris listened to all of our ideas and was open to executing on our vision. He advice and guidance was so reassuring throughout the entire process. The venue itself is STUNNING. I can’t even express how many compliments I received from our guests. “This is the most beautiful venue I’ve ever been to” and “This is the best cocktail hour I’ve attended” was uttered all throughout the night. The fact that guests could dance at the reception, and then step outside on the balcony made it such an incredible reception space. Everyone loved it! Edwin was our Maître D. He was so friendly and detail oriented. I didn’t notice a single thing that didn’t go the way I wanted it to, and I know it was because Edwin was running a tight ship behind the scenes. The food was incredible and the bartenders were so friendly. Ali handled our room block, and I was also so pleased with the level of communication. Ali was responsive and accommodative of our requests. I didn’t hear a single complaint about the check in process, and the rooms were updated, clean, and beautiful. The Skyline Suite is also perfect for those “getting ready photos” the morning of J All in all, I think the Envue is a hidden gem of a wedding venue! With the ferry right in front of the venue, you can have all the perks of NYC while avoiding the craziness. Thank you, Envue and Team!

The entire staff made our dream wedding day come true and I could not recommend the venue more. Sasha was our wedding attendant and so sweet and attentive and patient. She's been working at the venue for 19 years and her experience was so helpful to have! We moved cocktail hour out on the patio for an additional fee which was also greatly appreciated by our guests who got to take amazing photos and enjoy the gardens before our dinner - highly recommend considering if it's in your budget! I can't begin to describe the amazing wedding celebration we had at The Terrace at Biagio's. We had our ceremony at the venue as well and everything went perfect! Barbara and John were top tier! They were on top of everything from start to finish, and we were constantly taken care of us. Not only did they excel but they did it all with great personality and love! The Terrace itself was a gem! Our guests raved about the cocktail hour! It was an assortment of the best food possible, all so fresh and impossible to not go back for more. Bar service was top notch and our signature drinks were a hit! (Barbra actually was the one who made that vision come alive! Lavender martini and bacon maple ole fashioned). The dessert hour was a fire show! (Literally a fire show) And there was every dessert possible! Carnival, ice creams, cakes, cookies, chocolate fondue, etc! We had our first look down the road at another location but we took photos on site in the front of the entrance to the terrace and they came out beautiful! It's a smaller area but it has beautiful flowers and a stream. The ceremony was on the roof top and it was beautiful with the waterfall fountain and stone fire place! Lots of cute places to take some very nice photos! Along with the string lights and arch, it was a dream. I can't rave enough about how much Biagios made our day so enjoyable, and beautiful. I would recommend them over and over again thank you again to the hardworking staff, Barbara, John and Tommy. It is a night we will cherish forever. Oh, and they allow dogs to be in the ceremony It was everything to be able to have our fur baby share our special day with us.

We originally looked at more “industrial” venues because we wanted that intimate feel and didn’t love catering hall vibes. We found Renaissance as we live close by and loved it once we toured initially. They have the space of a catering hall but the experience of a single party venue. Food was great and we never felt like we were being uncharged/swindled. Even at one point we saw an error on the agreement and Lisa changed it no problem. She was a delight to work with and never made us feel like our ask was so unbelievable. Bridal suite was big enough for 10 people to get ready. Overall nothing but great things to say about Renaissance.

If you have visited the Foundry, you know how amazing and beautiful it is, but what you don’t know before you work with them is how responsive and helpful they are once you have committed to them. We had about 130 guests and used the main room for the ceremony, the greenhouse room and space outside for the cocktail hour, the courtyard for the reception dinner, the main room again for the dancing, and the greenhouse room again for the after party (11 to midnight). We also rented the Du Val suite for getting ready, and it was a superb space for the groom’s party and extended family to get ready and hang out and also has the most beautiful garden with city views. Our wedding was absolutely amazing and vindicated our immediate love for the Foundry that we developed the first time we toured it, and the Foundry staff are extremely helpful and kind.

The rose room is such a unique venue in LIC that offers incredible views of the city!! However, the liberty to transform the venue into any type of space is what I loved most - its a gorgeous blank canvas that lends itself to any theme.
