Description

For destinations beyond the 12-hour driving radius from Washington DC, DJ Maskell will fly out for weddings and can rent/hire production equipment at the destination as needed. Below are some recent quotes and bookings, for full ceremony, cocktail, dinner coverage plus uplighting, and is inclusive of all expenses (such as flight, hotel, local equipment rental, vehicle rental, hiring local stage crew, and the base fee for my services).

DJ Maskell was amazing! Super easy to chat with, and we loved his energy. He read the room perfectly while still keeping our music preferences in mind. The lighting he set up was incredible and really elevated the entire vibe. As one guest put it, “YOUR DJ WAS COOKIN' ALL NIGHT!” He created such a fun, warm atmosphere that the dance floor was never empty. You can tell he has a real passion for weddings and a deep knowledge of the entire process—it showed in how smoothly he worked with us and all of the other vendors. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better to get the party started!

DJ Maskell was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, he was so organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about his work. He totally understood the vibe we wanted and knew exactly how to read the room. Every transition and song choice was spot-on. His setup and equipment were next-level and honestly made it feel like we were escaping reality for the night. HIRE THIS MAN FOR YOUR WEDDING! DJ Maskell completely transformed our wedding planning process. From the initial phone call, we could tell that he was experienced and reliable. He showed genuine interest in understanding the vibe of the wedding and incorporating our interests. Without overstepping, he was eager to share his industry wisdom and offered a wedding planning spreadsheet template that became our holy grail for staying organized during the process. The day of the wedding, he was reliable and professional. We had two ceremonies in one day, and several of our vendors expressed concern that people wouldn't want to stick around for dancing. Wrong! He kept the dance floor full all night with positive energy and good mixing. He even adjusted the lighting and audio to help me lead a line dancing tutorial on stage :). We feel like his pricing was a steal given his included lighting package that transformed our venue. Overall, could not have been happier with our experience!

42-piece wireless uplighting is available at no added cost for wedding bookings. Additional uplighting is available at industry standard rates. Full nightclub lighting is also available at no charge as long as your venue provides enough time for it to be set up and broken down.

Yes, I have played dozens of weddings with mixed cultures including Latin American, Persian, Arabic, French, Bosnian, Russian, Indian, and many many more. I always enjoy learning about new cultures and music and am happy to put in the extra time to familiarize myself with the music and weave it into a solid, mind-blowing, face-melting musical set.

All wedding bookings include all the necessary setup/performance/breakdown time, and there is no set limit for performance time, and there is no fee for extra hours. This means we can party until the sun comes up for no added fee, availability permitting of course.

Yes, I am happy to travel with all gear and production equipment up to 12 hours driving from DC at no additional cost when practical. Beyond that range, a customized quote is developed. I have done weddings domestically in: CA, DC, FL, IN, KY, MA, ME, MD, NY, NC, NH, NJ, PA, VA and internationally in: Lake Como (Italy)

In the absence of a coordinator, I work very closely with clients in the weeks and months leading up to the wedding to plot out the day-of logistics in extensive detail, coordinate with other vendors, then execute on the day-of. I also help you to organize, track, idiot-proof, and delegate certain tasks that a coordinator would normally handle, such as setup, decor, and cleanup.

There is no charge for providing music and wireless mics for an on-site ceremony. If you have a musician playing, DJ Maskell can provide sound support at no cost (wireless mics, belt packs, speakers, etc)
