Music is fun. Music is community. Music is a language. Music is a gift. Each individual has incalculable worth independent of how they play. These five laws of music mentioned briefly by Justin Nielsen in a music class at music school shaped Alex’s entire philosophy of teaching and interacting with others. He strives to make every performance authentic and accessible to his audience.

Alex builds every performance from scratch. He doesn’t play with tracks. Every sound you hear is made in the moment. Not one performance will be the same. Alex often collaborates with another horn player, keyboard player, or drummer.
