Operating out of Brooklyn, New York, IMANI INTERNATIONAL is a group of DJs catering to galas, corporate events and weddings throughout the Tri-State area. DJ Godfrey and his talented teammates have worked in the industry for many years and provide reliable and professional service wherever they go. Clients can sample some of their work on request Resident DJ to NYC's Shadowtheclub (17 years strong) has allowed them entertain the TriState since 2002! From Hip Hop, Afro-beat, Reggae, Soca, Pop, Latin, EDM & R&B, IMANI has an extensive catalog that caters to the most eclectic tastes!

Native of Jamaica WI 🇯🇲, raised in Brooklyn USA 🇺🇲 Surrounded by music of all genres. From Pop, 90s, 2000 Hip Hop/R&B, Caribbean, to 70s 80s Classics. Got the DJ bug and never looked back! The love of music and connecting with people was the hook and bringing that feel good vibe back has been our job for the last 20 years. Good people and the right mix is everything!

    Backyard Graduation Party was a huge success in part to Imani international.. The music selection hit everyone. Top 40, R&B, Hip Hop, Reggae, Soca and so much more. Communication was fast and easy and the price was worth every penny. All the guests was inquisitive about the DJ during the event because of his professionalism. Hiring Imani international was the best decision. The Graduation Girl loved every minute. Thank You Imani for a great night.

    For our wedding, we chose DJ Godfrey of Imani International, and our experience was nothing short of perfect. We have been to weddings and parties where the DJs were terrible, so we were determined for that not to be the case with our wedding. Godfrey made our reception the perfect celebration by curating a playlist of past and present music that kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night, including some of our older relatives who haven't danced like that in decades. If the venue had allowed it, everyone would have easily danced another few hours. Our experience with DJ Godfrey and Imani International was beyond outstanding. They totally blew us away.

    If you’re looking for a DJ who can absolutely nail any vibe you're looking to create, DJ Godfrey is it! From the moment our wedding began, he had the perfect mix of songs that kept everyone moving - literally, the dance floor was never empty. He seamlessly blended a wide variety of music so that every guest, from the teenage guests to my grandma, had their moment to shine. He even managed to do this while working with our budget, making the whole experience feel like an absolute luxury without the luxury price tag. What really blew us away was how flawlessly he followed our program/schedule. For our ceremony and reception, every transition happened right on cue, down to the exact minute, which helped to keep the day running really smoothly. It was clear he wasn’t just playing music—he was curating a whole experience that flowed perfectly from start to finish. He read the crowd like a pro, kept the energy high, and made sure no one wanted to sit down. Honestly, if we could get married again just for the party, we’d hire DJ Godfrey in a heartbeat!! We genuinely enjoyed working with him!
