Hi, I’m Carla, a legally authorized wedding officiant based in the Washington D.C. area. I’m all about creating moments that feel genuine and joyful. While I primarily serve the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia, I’m always up for an adventure. I’m passport ready and happy to travel wherever love takes you. For couples coming from out of town, I can help set up your elopement, connect you with trusted local vendors, and guide you through the marriage license process so everything feels smooth and stress-free.

I’m not just here to officiate. I’m here to honor your version of love. Every couple I work with has a different story, and that’s what makes this work so beautiful. I take the time to listen, to learn what matters to you, and to craft a ceremony that feels honest, joyful, and true to who you are. I work with all kinds of couples: spiritual, non-religious, interfaith, LGBTQ+, multicultural. I’ve had the joy of honoring many different traditions and ways of celebrating love. Whether you're blending beliefs or creating your own path, I’ll meet you with openness and care. I also offer bilingual ceremonies in English and Portuguese.

I had the pleasure of having Carla officiate my wedding in September and she was a joy to work with every step of the way. She really takes the time to get to know you and your relationship with your partner, by the time we had the wedding Carla was like a part of the family! She helps a lot with other wedding questions as well and gives valuable insight. She had everyone laughing and smiling during the wedding and brought an amazing/loving vibe to the whole event. I highly recommend Carla to anyone who wants to have a loving and joyful officiant!
