Hi, I’m Rafael, the owner and creative behind JR Media Solutions. I believe wedding days should feel calm, joyful, and fully lived not rushed or staged. While I’m new to Zola, I’ve spent years photographing and filming weddings across Connecticut and beyond, earning over 100 five-star reviews by being dependable, organized, and genuinely invested in my couples. My approach is simple: show up prepared, stay present, and document your day honestly so you can relive it for years to come.

What sets me apart is my ability to read the room. I don’t interrupt or over-direct, but I do know when gentle guidance helps people feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. I create a relaxed environment where couples and their loved ones can be themselves, while still stepping in with clear direction when it matters. The result is imagery that feels natural, authentic, and thoughtfully captured without ever feeling forced.

JR Media Solutions was the perfect choice for capturing our wedding day. Rafael was fun, outgoing, professional and talented. He is so easy to communicate with and he made the entire experience easy and enjoyable. We had sent inspiration photos prior and Rafael totally blew those out of the water. The photos and video created absolutely exceeded our expectations. Rafael had the photos back to us within just a few days - we were so impressed! He was easy to communicate with and kept in touch days before regarding planning and expectations. JR Media Solutions was the perfect choice for our wedding. Rafael captured every special moment from getting ready to dancing the night away and everything in between. Our sneak peek and wedding photos came earlier than expected and are so beautiful. We can't stop looking through them. Taking photos with each table on their way to the buffet was a brilliant idea and allowed us to get quality photos with everyone vs. photos of them sitting at their tables. Rafael was very professional, reasonably priced, a pleasure to work with, and did an excellent job behind the camera. We highly recommend him!

My husband and I hired JR Media Solutions for an event and we were absolutely blown away by Rafael’s work and professionalism. Rafael showed up early and took all the pictures that I didn’t know I needed. After the church ceremony, he captured the celebration. He shot many candids, along with several posed pictures. He captured details and decorations, as well as beautiful moments amongst family and friends. Rafael blended into the party. Afterwards, many family members and friends told me how great he was going around and capturing everyone and everything. Rafael sent us the pictures very quickly. We loved the pictures so much that we hired him for another event! Again, he showed up early and started capturing memories. Rafael is great at giving directions for those of us who don’t know what to do in pictures. He also made sure to take all the pictures I asked him to take. He sent the pictures quickly. We loved them so much that we used them on custom gifts. We are making two albums with the pictures he edited. Rafael is my family’s go-to photographer. We hope he is available for our next big events.
