Our wedding at Bourne Mansion was truly a dream come true. From the very beginning, the entire Lessing’s Catering team went above and beyond, and not a single detail was missed. We had a 280-person wedding without a planner, and I’ll admit I was nervous about that especially since we didn’t go with the typical “over the top” vendors. But from the moment planning began, all of those worries disappeared. Working with Miriam in the months leading up was incredible. She responded to every text and email no matter how small the question and somehow made every single request happen. She didn’t just “plan,” she anticipated. Every napkin, menu, candle, and light made it safely to Bourne without me lifting a finger. At the end of the night, everything was wrapped up beautifully and carefully packed into my parents’ car. That level of organization gave me such peace of mind and showed just how thoughtful and professional she and her team are. On the day itself, Jake and Nico were nothing short of extraordinary. Jake worked tirelessly on the room layout until it felt perfect, and once the wedding started, he never left our side—always appearing just in time with drinks, reassurance, and complete control over the flow of the evening. Nico was equally exceptional calm, steady, and totally unflappable. She was there for every single moment, even helping me with a rapid outfit change without missing a beat. The two of them worked nonstop for seven hours straight, managing every detail, anticipating every need, and making sure every guest was cared for. And at the end of the night, after all that, they wrapped everything up perfectly. It was seamless and effortless on our end, which is a testament to their professionalism and dedication. The food was unforgettable. The chef went out of his way to create a custom action station that our guests are still raving about. Every staff member from bartenders to waiters was professional, warm, and attentive. The service was flawless, and it made every guest feel cared for. Of course, the mansion itself is breathtaking and speaks for its own timeless beauty, but what truly sets Bourne apart is the people. Lessing’s has built a team that is in a league of their own. They allowed us to feel fully present in every single moment of our wedding. People always say your wedding day flies by, but that wasn’t our experience we truly felt like we were able to soak in every second in the best way possible. My family is in the wedding business and owns a catering hall on Long Island and came in with experienced eyes. We were blown away, in absolute awe of how flawlessly everything was handled. Our guests were in awe as well, and so were we. Bourne Mansion, Miriam, Jake, Nico, and the entire Lessing’s team took every bit of stress off our shoulders and gave us the most unforgettable, seamless, once-in-a-lifetime experience. There truly isn’t another team or venue in the business like them.

We got married 1/5/25 but had been working with Miriam for probably a year and a half before our big day. She was always so personable with us a treated us like family. Words cannot describe the love and care we felt from Jake, our maître D and Samantha, our bridal attendant, on our wedding day. We were cared for tediously and effortlessly. We felt like at ease, happy and totally relaxed. I needed Samantha and didn’t even know it, I am forever indebted to her - she could not have been more attentive and wonderful. Comforting me, assuring me, getting me where I need to be and when. So friendly, kind and amazing. Thank god for Jake. He is so special and we’re so lucky we got him as our maître D. He deems himself as a “yes man” and he is not lying. Anything you could have ever wanted from him, he’d deliver. We wanted for nothing, had wonderful direction from him all night and he took care of EVERYTHING! The night was flawless, amazing, perfect and all we could have ever hoped for. The staff at Bourne is unmatched, we made the right choice with this venue. Guests will be in awe of the venue and talk about the food for years to come. I wish I could do it all again. Thank you Bourne mansion & staff for the best night of our lives! I don’t have all my pics back yet!

We had our wedding at Bourne Mansion on Saturday and the venue exceeded all of our expectations. The rooms are stunning, the staff are incredible, and the food was outstanding. I cannot imagine a better place for our wedding. Miriam was amazing throughout the whole planning process and was so easily accessible for any questions or concerns. Steve Melita was unbelievably helpful and kept the night on track while still having fun! You will not regret getting married here!

We had the best night at the Bourne Mansion. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day. Throughout the process Miriam was very helpful. She was easy to communicate with and was there to answer every question. Our Maitre’d Steve was amazing. I was able to enjoy the wedding without having to worry about what was happening next. He handled the night with the utmost professionalism. The venue was beautiful and our guest enjoyed the food.
