About this venue

North Star Farm Event Center is a beautiful venue overlooking the Minnesota River Valley, located between the Twin Cities Metro and Mankato. Surrounded by oak trees and rolling fields, our historic farm blends timeless charm with modern touches for a truly magical wedding day. Venue pricing ranges from $6,000–$8,000+, depending on date and season, and includes wedding planning support, tables, chairs, linens, centerpieces, and additional décor (or DIY). Catered meals start at $13.50 per guest, and couples are welcome to bring their own liquor, beverages, snacks, and desserts to help save on costs. Beer and ice are through our affordable off-sale liquor provider. For approximately 200 guests, venue, bar, and meals typically total $10K–$12K, depending on your date (WOW!). The Quonset is one of the center pieces of our farm. Repurposed in 2016 to the unique wedding reception area it is today. It is one of a kind, other venue has anything like this.

Dairy Barn Groom's Suite & Photo Loft

Get ready in style — 1,800 SF built for the groom and his crew. Enjoy the loft for romantic & moody photos.

Plenty of neon signs to kick off the excitement and set the tone for the day! The space features two bathrooms, two TVs, a pool table, foosball table, bar, and lots of comfy couches and chairs—perfect for hanging out while getting ready. A refrigerator and drip coffee maker are also available to keep everyone fueled and ready to celebrate. BYO drinks and snacks. Also, enjoy the barn loft for romantic and moody photos!

    We got married at North Star Farm in the spring of 2024. From the moment we toured we knew it was the place for us. Everything we hoped for was all there in one place. Rebecca was a joy to work with. Very organized and thorough, which made everything so easy for us to navigate. Which took so much of the stress away from me in the process. I must say, everything about the day was amazing and it went better then I could have ever imagine.

    Our daughter was married at North Star Farm. We had another daughter married the year earlier at another venue and our experience with North Star Farm saved on the stress. North Star had met with us, our daughter and her fiancé the week before. We covered what the day would look like and went over every detail. Rebecca and Scott know their stuff and we felt good that things would be covered. We got to see where to drop things off that morning and were relieved that the Day of Coordination services did all the tear down and packing. The venue did all the cleaning. I actually felt like I could enjoy saying goodbye to guests not worrying about if things were be taken down and packed up. When our other daughter got married at another venue, we spent so much of the evening and after the wedding packing and cleaning. Thank goodness we did not have to do that at North Star. My daughter utilized some of North Star's decorations. We did bring a few things, but it was a breeze to round up our things. We also saved money on the bar as we could bring in our own pop, water, seltzers, and wine to be served. There are no minimums on food or liquor making things easier and fitted for us as our group was smaller. I actually enjoyed the entire day and things went so smooth. I did ask if there was anything I could do and Rebecca said no, we have it covered. Rebecca and Scott were great to work with. This was a great experience overall. We have recommended North Star to other friends and family. We hope to return again for another wedding here.

    My wife and I got married at North Star Farm in July. We are so happy with the choice we made to get married there. First off, Rebecca was an absolute joy to work with throughout the whole process, she was so much help in answering any questions we had lowering the stress level. Loved that the venue has both a bridal suite(the farmhouse) and a grooms suite(in the dairy barn). I must say from my own experience, the grooms suite is really cool. Our parents kept commenting on how organized everything turned out. Thanks to Rebecca, she didn’t miss a thing. We loved the fact they had decor to use, so we didn’t have to bring any of our own, other than some engagement photos. Oh yeah, I cannot forget about the lighting there, both inside and out. It feels like a different place once the day turns to night, it’s magical. Outside Edison string lights all around. Warm patio lighting and a fire pit. Inside the Uplighting, which is included, that matched our colors too. One of the coolest things that sets this venue apart from all the others we toured was that they have their own dance floor lighting. If you choose one of their recommended DJs, those DJs get full access and control of lighting. Its pretty impressive and I highly recommend going in this direction. Their catering options made it hard to choose just one, but we managed to do so. Their ceremony area is shaded, and all the building on the property have AC including the reception barn! All are musts for a July wedding. Long story short - We cannot say enough about North Star Farm, Rebecca & Scott, and all their staff. If we had to do it again we wouldn’t change a thing about our day or the venue. They were our number one choice! Highly recommend!

    As a father of a bride, I could not have been more happy about the choice my daughter and her now husband made in choosing North Star Farm Event Center for their wedding. It was amazing! Everything went so smoothly the entire day. Rebecca and Scott along with their staff have this down. Rebecca was their to answer any questions, she helped with vendor suggestions from catering, photographers to the DJ. They had a lot of decor for my daughter to choose from and use. The setup there is perfect. Everything about that day just flowed, including the property itself and in the blink of an eye it was over. They helped pack our things up at the end of the night, they took care of cleaning up, I was back in my hotel before I knew it. I highly recommend North Star Farm to any parent whose child is looking for a venue. They made my life so much easier and really stress free that whole day.
