Forestville Winery and Event Center encompasses 17 acres of beauty and serenity. 2025 marks our seventh season hosting events and memories to guests from all over the world. Our Event building has undergone major renovation. The climate controlled space features spacious room for 150 guests in a “country elegant” décor. The building features a Bride’s suite with full bathroom and private patio. Also inside is a wine and beer service area, a catering kitchen, a food serving area, a stage for Musicians and spacious restrooms, Most Ceremonies are held outside near the Vineyard, weather permitting. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the Ceremonies can be held under our Event tent. The Forestville property is also home to a completely renovated one room School constructed in 1897 and used as a school until 1964. The School building houses our wine and beer tasting room and also the Groom’s Suite for weddings.

The St. James Hotel is an official historic Minnesota wedding venue in the heart of downtown Red Wing, Minnesota. Nestled between the picturesque backdrop of the Mississippi River and Minnesota/Wisconsin countryside, the St. James is made up of five charming venues that can accommodate up to 240 wedding guests. As an all-inclusive venue, services include a dedicated Wedding Specialist, a pastry shop, ceremony and reception spaces, ready rooms, catering, room blocks for hotel events, and an on-site salon and a flower shop. A "one-stop-shop" stress-free experience with excellent service is what we offer. Our beautiful Ballroom holds up to 300 guests. We include a two-room suite for the Bride & Groom the night of the Reception, we have a Banquet Manager that runs the event from beginning to end, we set up and tear down all the decorations, all the linens, tables and chairs are included (we will add our chair covers for $2 each) and we include uplighting in the room. We also do a group block for your guests at a discounted rate. We set up a Host and/or Cash Bar at no extra cost. The Ceremony can be held here as well for a small fee. We will need 2 hours between the Ceremony and the Reception to flip the room. Our Pre-Function Area and Patio are ideal for a Cocktail Reception during that time or guests can come back when the Reception opens. Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse caters for our events. Our Chef is very flexible and we offer options for guests with dietary restrictions.
