Meyer’s Castle is such a hidden gem—you’d never expect to find a place like this in the Midwest! I’ve had the chance to shoot two weddings here, and both times were such a dream. The venue itself is stunning and feels like a little escape from the everyday. But what really makes it stand out is the team. The staff is always so kind and helpful, especially Kate—not just with the couples, but with us vendors too, which honestly makes the day run so much smoother. I can’t wait for the next time I get to come back and create more magic within those castle walls. Forever a fan of this place.

Megan and Corinne worked closely with our coordinator to ensure everything went smoothly, and they truly made the day feel effortless. Once we found The Lodge at Rush Lakes for our wedding venue, we knew it was the one! Logan and Dustin are the most down to earth and thoughtful guys who helped make our wedding day everything we dreamt of, plus more! We met with them multiple times on the property to go over everything wedding related. We live over 2 hours away and this place was worth the drive every single time! I could not recommend Rush Lakes enough to anyone looking for a wedding venue, special occasion, reunion, family gathering, bridal shower, baby shower, etc. We also worked with a handful of vendors recommended by Logan that have done events at Rush Lakes before, so the process was so incredibly easy! Being able to spend the weekend with our pups, friends, and family before and after our wedding day made it so much more special too. Being able to have our dogs be a part of our day meant everything to us and Rush Lakes made that possible. The whole property is stunning, there is not one bad spot for photos! Everything was perfect and I could talk highly about Rush Lakes for days on end. THE PERFECT VENUE!!! I miss it every single day. Thank you Logan and Dustin for making the wedding of my dreams possible!!!

Elizabeth Birch worked with us to helped us achieve the perfect wedding of our dreams. From the beautifully landscaped ceremony, photo, and reception spaces, to the outstanding food and service, there was no detail overlooked. Elizabeth helped us coordinate the entire wedding long-distance. I was in Florida, and the bride was in Chicago. But with her guidance, we were able to coordinate the local vendors needed to pull off a dream wedding.

My husband and I were married here on 7.13.2024. It was heavenly!!! When we toured other venues in the southwest Michigan region no place felt quite right. We happened to hear about Inisfree in passing and decided to drive over. Peggy and Bruce (the owners) couldn't have been kinder and more welcoming and they remained that way the entire process and continue to be! They have so much passion for Inisfree and it shows. The ground are beautiful and immaculate and they truly love to engage with people. We also rented all ten rooms out at the bed and breakfast for our wedding weekend and got special and intimate time with our friends- from pool time, garden/patio hangs, and delicious home made breakfasts (quiche, zucchini bread, blueberry muffins just to name some of my favorites). Our friends/wedding party who stayed onsite continue to rave about their stay and the guests of our wedding party couldn't get over how beautiful the property is. Everyone loved silent disco!!! Do you self a favor and book a tour. The place speaks for itself. We can't wait to return for our anniversary :)

We recently got married at SHC and Patti was super knowledgeable and knows her stuff. When we visited the venue, I felt comfortable trusting her and her team and loved the venue space/vibe. The outside is beautiful modern white/black and greenery/forest feel along with a patio space and fireplace while the inside is also modern, elegant, and has a great cozy walk in seating space and bar as well. Despite rain on our wedding day and having to move the ceremony inside, everything was still beautifully done and the weather cleared for us for pictures outside after the ceremony! The beach is also super close to run over and shoot some pics there too. Loved the bridal suite space hidden and tucked away for me and my bridesmaids as well. The food, drinks, venue, and service/staff were all a great experience for both us and our guests.

There is only one word to describe our experience with Ivy House and our coordinator: PERFECT. The venue is outstandingly beautiful and the staff are welcoming and were just as excited about our wedding as we were. Our coordinator, Heather, went above and beyond for us. She was extremely dedicated to making this our best day ever. We bonded with her instantly and our planning was a walk in the park because of her. She just made everything SO MUCH FUN. You would think on the day of your wedding, you would feel a little stress wondering if everything was going to go right, but with Heather there wasn't a doubt in our mind or even a little stress because we knew our day was in the best hands and everything was going to be perfect! She made our day completely stress free and took care of everything for us the day of from timeline, to making sure we had our drinks, getting our wedding party together, and simply just letting us enjoy the day as newlyweds. I wish we could get married here over and over and over again! Just insanely beautiful with an incredible staff. I hope we get to attend so many more weddings here to relive the best day ever! - Cassidy & Taylor Messer 10.03.25

The days leading up to it, she had everything sorted out for the wedding to go off without a hitch. I did not notice any problems with the wedding, and when there were some Valerie quickly sorted it out without me noticing anything went wrong. The getting ready rooms, ceremony sites, barn, and outdoor locations were incredibly gorgeous, and I could not recommend this venue and staff more. Our guests all loved the venue and had a blast!

The barn itself was beautifully decorated, with a lovely covered deck that came in handy when it started raining. The grounds were well-kept and the huge parking lot was a big plus for our guests. We had so much fun choosing from their vast selection of decorations to personalize the space. Overall, the Vintage Rose Barn exceeded our expectations and we're so grateful to the team for making our special day truly magical.

My husband nor I are from Michigan (from the Chicagoland area) and everyone kept asking us "why Michigan?" The moment they walked in, they felt the same feeling I did when I first toured the venue. It is beautiful, unique, personal and was everything and more that I could have hoped for. Our wedding as at the end of June and we were very fortunate that the rain held off and the temperature/humidity ended up being perfect. We had about 185 guests attend the wedding and I think everyone was too stunned by the venue to even care about the drizzle of rain that was happening. Not to mention, Amelia and her staff are absolutely amazing from the very beginning to the very end.

Listen, I'd love to grumble about the cost of the venue itself. But in all honesty, Boatwerks (and Hannah, the event manager) was 100% up front about costs. From the moment we first toured the space, the event manager Hannah was prompt in her communication and transparent about all costs. Hannah even shared a mock up quote the day we initially toured the venue - and it was spot on for the actual event. The truth? The venue was absolutely, without a doubt, 100% worth every cent we paid. We had the patio open all night, there was plenty of food, minimal waits at the bar - all things our guests are still raving about. The venue itself was beautiful, with a lovely waterfront view that provided a picturesque backdrop for our reception. And the food was delicious - our guests raved about the quality and presentation. While the venue cost was a bit higher than other Red Water event venues, it was absolutely worth it for the exceptional service and stunning location. Hannah and the Boatwerks team went above and beyond to ensure our special day was perfect in every way. We're so grateful we chose Boatwerks and would highly recommend them to any couple seeking a beautiful space to celebrate one of the best days of their lives.

We got married at the Blue Dress Barn this summer and our entire wedding day was like a fairytale--we still can't get over how beautiful everything was. The greenery and grounds of the BDB are unmatched and our guests couldn't stop commenting on how beautiful everything was. Amelia is helpful and easy to work with and Georgia is lovely as well. The barn staff left the florals up on the arch and in the barn from the night before, which was such an incredible surprise because they were so gorgeous. The getting ready areas for the bridesmaids and groomsmen had so many beautiful & intentional details that made it so special for us. The venue is also well known by other vendors in the area as well since it's been around for so long (23 years!), and so working with our catering staff (Classic Catering), photography (Spencer Penfield) and DJ (DJ Jennefa) was a breeze. If we could do it all over again, we wouldn't change a single thing. We feel so grateful we were able to spend our favorite day with all of our friends and family at this beautiful venue! Thank you, Amelia!
