Growing up in high school, I was always involved in radio/television. We would cover the pep-rallies, create school commercials, promote dances and club events, merchandise sales—you name it. So, it has always been my passion to be creative through the camera along with visual storytelling. I’ve been a filmmaker since 2010 and decided to start JC Film Group in 2016. It was a calling that motivated me to spread my production wings and get more involved with my city and networking community. We have been inspired to connect and engage our audience through our work, and we are passionate about every shot we take in the field.

In 2009, I was looking for a simple hobby. On my birthday I was gifted my first DSLR camera. The camera had video capabilities and little did I know that camera would lead to what I do now. I am a videographer, cinematographer, and photographer. I cover corporate events, weddings, start up videos, short and feature films.

I used to produce and plan tens of weddings in downtown West Palm at a 4-5 star venue. During covid-19 I developed my videography skills alongside fitness influencers and branding and brought my new skillset into the wedding industry and have shot my handful of weddings. A little about me: I am a Tampa Bay grown, soflo living videographer, a master's student in mental health, hold a BA in media from PBAU, and surf in my free time. I started filming weddings about 10 years ago while I was in college. I’m a hopeless romantic and storyteller at heart, so when I discovered my passion for film making, it was a perfect match. I capture all of the details and settings but what I focus on most are the relationships. Love will endure forever. We met at a smoothie and film party in college, during which, I (Matt) let out my inner Shakespeare and screamed at Rachel from a balcony. We were married in Texas Hill country amidst close friends. Rachel forgot she needed a bouquet, but a close friend came to the rescue. We made promises to each other and then took time to pray to make promises to God about our marriage. We did without much of the traditional aspects of a wedding: no dancing, no toasts, no exchanged rings, no wedding party…you get the idea…but we did spend 3 hours with their wedding videographers. The day was perfect, because it was perfect for us.
