She often collarbones with other musicians on guitar, cello, harp, bagpipes and more. As an early music specialist on baroque violin, viola, and viola da gamba, she has appeared with numerous period ensembles. Karen holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN) and a Master of Music from the Longy School of Music (Cambridge, MA). In addition to making and teaching music, Karen also enjoys English, Baroque, vintage and folk dance.
