Couples are often surprised by the amount of their budget spent on wedding flowers. Labor and variable wholesale costs add up quickly! To save, avoid anything that needs to be installed day-of and stick to “wear and carry.” This means the florist simply drops off the arrangements (bouquets, boutineers, centerpieces, etc.) at your venue for you to place yourselves. Something like a ceremony arch, by contrast, requires multiple people to set up and take down on site, often with a service charge of up to 40%. We wanted sustainable flowers and they made sure to not use any floral foam and that the flowers went to good homes after the ceremony, in addition to sourcing the flowers locally like we asked. My only piece of feedback is that they could be a little more prompt to respond to emails, but it was no big deal. I never had to follow up or anything, just be patient! They absolutely made my floral dreams come to life, and within my budget too! I am so grateful for Petal Thyme and all the work they did to make our wedding so special.”
