I was so grateful to have found Jen while going through our flower-picking-process. We got a quote for real flowers to start and it was way out of our budget. When we started looking for 'fake' flowers, I knew I wanted them to look as real as possible. I must have looked at 10 different vendors across CT and MA, and as soon as I saw Wood & Word Blooms website I was sold! Her bouquets are one of a kind, each and every piece was perfect for our wedding. She was so supportive and helpful in the color picking process, I changed my mind a few times but she never batted an eye. She got us to the finish line and we couldn't be happier. Working with Wood & Word Blooms for our wedding florals was an easy process from start to finish. Their communication style was very straightforward, making it simple to order exactly what we wanted. The quality of their sola wood floral designs was excellent - my bouquet was a dream come true, with intricate details and a beautiful shape. They provided great example options to choose from, and the value was very good for the beautiful work they delivered. Just be sure to order with plenty of lead time, as their creations take time for production and shipping. Overall, we were thrilled with Wood & Word Blooms and highly recommend them for any couples planning their wedding flowers.

Jennifer at Wood & Word Blooms was amazing to work with, and everything looked stunning! We got so many compliments on our arch swags, corsages, boutonnieres, and bouquets! The ability to completely customize the flower colors to perfectly match the wedding colors really ties the whole look together and makes everything flow seamlessly. Beyond the colors, there’s so many unique flower shapes and sizes to choose from, there really is no limit to what can be done to suit your wedding. Jennifer was great at providing us with design aid in order to help create our vision and bring it to life. The best part is that now we have them to keep and display forever, looking as good as the day we got them!

Jen was absolutely wonderful to work with! She took my idea of Harry Potter inspired bouquets and made it a reality. Throughout the process, she kept me updated and checked in on any suggested changes to make sure I was happy. I was absolutely stunned by the results and my bridesmaids loved their bouquets, which I gave to them as a gift after the wedding. I highly recommend Wood & Word Blooms if you're looking for beautiful custom bouquets that will last you forever and incredible customer service.

While I do not have a minimum, my average wedding is $1500-$2500 with larger weddings ranging $3000+. I take on a limited number of micro-wedding orders when my schedule allows.

Typically, the sweet spot for booking me is 9-12 months in advance as I take a limited number of weddings each month. I book up to about a year and half out; however, due to ever changing cost of supplies I do not book weddings farther out than this. I definitely recommend having a few details figured out first. For example: Have you selected the location for your ceremony/ reception? What’s your wedding style? Do you have your dress picked out? This can help make sure your florals work with your overall vision.

As a faux flower florist specializing in sola wood, things works a bit different. I aim to have your florals complete 1 month prior to your wedding, so you have one less thing to stress about on your day. I do not offer delivery/set up. You may pick up your flowers when they are ready or have them shipped anywhere in the US!

With wood flowers (or silk or paper), no flower is ever out of season. Isn't that great! With me, you can pick your flower style and even the exact colors you'd like them to be! You can have sunflowers in winter or purple and teal roses...no limit to your vision!

No need! Sola wood flowers won't wilt and will stay just as they are for years to come. I recommend keeping out of direct sunlight and away from where they might be knocked. Occasional light dusting is helpful, as well. You can choose to deconstruct your bouquet and make it into a beautiful arrangement, heart board, shadow box or more or just leave your bouquet in a vase as gorgeous centerpiece.

No. Besides hand-painted wood flowers, I can also work with silk flowers and paper flowers. I also occasionally work in fabric flowers, as well.

Sola wood flowers are made of natural and sustainable resources. The main 3 plants are the cassava, Aeschynomene aspera, or balsa wood which are shaved in to thin sheets and used to make the wood flowers. They are biodegradable and their natural color is a light ivory.

No, I do not work with fresh flowers at all. I do use dried and preserved florals sometimes in my work but I hand paint sola wood flowers for my weddings and events and combine these with faux greenery. Wood flowers are made from a biodegradable, earth-friendly materials called sola wood.
