Q: Do you learn new songs?

Yes! We are happy to learn any requests you might have.

Q: What do you wear?

Our default attire is black tie. If you have a requested wardrobe we are happy to accommodate it.

Q: What makes you different from other musicians?

We're able to perform a wide array of genres and accommodate most if not all \ requests as a result of all our musicians professional training. Each of us has graduated from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, the #2 music school in the US.

Q: Do you provide music for wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions?

Yes! Just let us know what genre of music/mood you would like us set for either or both events and we'd be more than happy to cater to your requests.

Q: How early do you come to set up?

We typically arrive to setup 3 hours prior to the start of the event. However we are happy to accommodate any request you might have, whether it be earlier or later.

Q: Do you take music requests?

Of course! We aim to tailor our performance to your special day and are happy to take on requests.

Our musicians have played numerous weddings. In addition to weddings, we have toured from the mid-west to the west coast, opening for world famous artists such as The Roots, Jill Scott and Bootsy Collins in smaller venues to football fields for crowds of over 40,000.

We had the absolute best time with Funk Almighty as our wedding band. We were able to see them perform at a local summer festival nearly a year before our wedding and instantly knew they were the band for us. They play a great range of songs and really have a new young wedding band feel which is what we wanted. They worked with us to learn a few of our favorite songs and we've heard from SO MANY guests that they were blown away by the band!! 10/10 would recommend!!!

Funk Almighty absolutely KILLED IT at our wedding. I can’t even tell you how many guests, both parents/family friends and peers, came up to us to tell us how incredible they were. They bring immaculate vibes and even came out to jam on the dance floor with us for a song which was SO fun. Incredible quality for the value and Daryl, the primary point of contact, was very responsive, flexible, and made sure the night was what we wanted. I’d 100% recommend them to any other couples looking for a band and would use them again in a heartbeat.

Funk Almighty was no doubt the best booking we made for our wedding. The band was electric and had a sound that can only be made from a group that plays together consistently. Their old funky classics and new hits were excellently played and made the dance floor the place to be! Some of our guests said their favorite part of the reception was the band, just watching them play and entertain was a great show. From initial inquiry, to final performance, they were responsive and professional. They performed live the songs for our first dance along with the father/bride and mother/groom dances as well. Overall they are a major talent and perform a terrific set, all while remaining in budget. Let this review be the one to get you to book this band, you will not be disappointed!

Having Funk Almighty at our wedding last year was both the cake and icing on top! It’s not just the usual band experience because on top of the great music some of the band stepped onto the dance floor with us, and that just blew our guests away! They danced and sang with us and our guests, bringing an amazing energy that was both intimate and exhilarating for us!! They even did a dance routine that all our guests caught on too and before we knew it everyone was doing the same dance. We looked at quite a few bands and we cannot recommend them enough because they made our wedding feel more like a shared experience with friends than a formal event. It was a highlight for many of our guests and truly showcased Funk Almighty's commitment to not just performing music but creating lasting memories, which was something Daryl promised us right off the bat.
