Honeysuckle Events was started in 2012 by Shelley Boyer, nature lover and flower worshipper. Shelley grew up near the mountains and transitioned to the coast after college. Her love for both places and her passion for the outdoors has become the staple of her business. She focuses on floral design and event styling for your wedding and draws inspiration from her natural surroundings that create unique, beautiful details that remain a topic of conversation long after the wedding or party has ended.

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. This led me to explore alternative solutions, and I discovered a passion for creating my own florals. I was delighted to find that I had a knack for it! This experience sparked the idea to launch my faux floral rental business, driven by the belief that beautiful wedding florals shouldn't come with an astronomical price tag.
