Working with Empress Floral Co (and Zaddy Blooms) was one of the absolute highlights of our wedding planning experience. From the very first conversation, it was clear that we were in the hands of *artists* who understood how to translate atmosphere, identity, and emotion into flowers. What impressed us most was their creativity and imagination. We came to them with a non-traditional concept involving otherworldly-inspired, foliage-forward floral environments, and they did not just embrace the idea — they elevated it. Early in the process, they provided detailed conceptual drawings that felt like something out of a design studio. Those illustrations guided the vision and ended up matching almost perfectly with what we saw on our wedding day. The transformation from sketch to installation was magical. Beyond their artistry, Empress Floral Co was professional, communicative, and wonderfully collaborative. They listened closely to our ideas, helped us value engineer to fit our budget, offered inspired suggestions, and ensured that every arrangement felt intentional and personal. Their work was lush, sustainable, textural, and unlike anything we or our guests had ever seen. As a queer couple, it also meant the world to us that both teams were enthusiastically LGBTQ affirming. We always felt welcomed, understood, and celebrated throughout the process, and that spirit of inclusivity came through in every interaction. If you are looking for florists who think beyond traditional arrangements, and who can take a wild idea, dream it bigger, and bring it to life with breathtaking precision, look no further. A friend recommended Empress Floral to help me put together an arrangement for our anniversary. Katie mentioned that she doesn’t typically take on single-arrangement orders since she’s focused on weddings and events, but she kindly offered to create something using the flowers she had on hand. When she delivered it, my wife and I were stunned. My wife even got flustered and joked, “Where was Empress when we chose our wedding florist? Our wedding would’ve looked so much better!” I’m so glad I gave Katie full creative freedom. The arrangement was beyond anything I imagined.
