In 2017, I moved to San Diego, CA, and then to Louisville, KY, in 2021. I have been in the floral industry for about 9 years. I started my business in 2019 as jchristine designs and recently did a rebrand where Persephone was born.

Michelle started her career as a lawyer, but could not resist the pull of her family’s legacy—flowers! A third-generation florist, some of her earliest childhood memories include processing flowers at her grandmother’s shop in northern Indiana. She grew her love of flowers working along side her mom in creating amazing wedding florals for couples all over Indiana. Ask her and she will tell you that she was trained by the best! She brings her passion and years of experience in this art to the Owner/Creative Director role for One of a Kind Events.

Jeanie Gorrell Floral Design is the natural extension of a passion turned business for Jeanie. Jeanie graduated Cum Laude from the University of Kentucky in the Fine Arts. I specialize in "Sola Wood Florals" (I don't offer fresh florals). Sola wood is an all natural plant material that is used to make natural looking flowers in a wide range of types that can be dyed any shade and last virtually forever.
