The first day I worked in floral design, I knew I was home. It quickly became my passion, inspiration, and outlet and has allowed me to bring so much added beauty to people’s favorite days! It’s all in the details and as overwhelming as it may be, that’s where I find solace! Working as a partner and team mate to my clients, I find, creates the best experience to fit everyone’s needs, keeping the quality of product and experience! With that being said, let’s get to work!

Sara from Muse Art Co. is a dream for anyone planning any event. Her creative vision is truly incredible, and she did absolutely everything to bring our wedding alive. I was in absolute awe (and tears) when I saw my bouquet on our wedding day, and even more so when I saw our ceremony and reception spaces. I loved that she also repurposed our gorgeous ceremony flowers so they could be enjoyed throughout the night! Sara communicated with me throughout the entire planning process and made sure that we were on the same page. She created a gorgeous mood board to begin the design process with only a few key words. Little did I know, she was going to blow everything that I could have expected out of the water! Sara is a true artist, and has a creative vision unlike anyone I have ever known. Her design has life, movement, love, and she can truly transform a space. Sara is the hardest worker that I have ever met, and she puts her blood, sweat and tears into her work. I could not recommend Sara and Muse Art Co. more. Thank you so much!

Rachel was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! She made all of our visions come to life with stunning flowers, boutonnieres, centerpieces, and more. Her responsiveness and accommodating nature made the entire process stress-free, and her attention to detail is unmatched. Rachel also did the flowers for both of my older sisters’ weddings, and her work is consistently incredible. She goes above and beyond in everything she does. A perfect example: she remembered that my husband is Ukrainian and that Ukrainians prefer flowers in odd numbers, so she thoughtfully ensured all our arrangements followed this tradition—without me even mentioning it! If you’re looking for someone who is talented, thoughtful, and truly dedicated to making your wedding unforgettable, Rachel is the florist you need. We couldn’t recommend her more highly!

    • Starts at $1,500
    • Serves Plainville, CT
    • Offer

I’m Josslyn, founder of The Flowr Studio, a Latina owned floral design studio creating artful and intentional florals. My journey began while planning my own wedding, when I craved a creative outlet. With a green thumb, a home filled with plants, and my own garden, I dove into research and practice. The more I designed, the more I fell in love. The name comes from Flow State, that place of total focus where time disappears. I found that balance of creativity and presence in floral design.

The Flowr Studio was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From our first conversation, Joss and her team were easy to communicate with, efficient in their responses, and incredibly kind throughout the entire process. The floral arrangements they created for our special day were of the highest quality - absolutely gorgeous, unique and classic in design. The flowers were truly stunning, and I'll look back on them forever and smile. Joss is the best of the best, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect floral experience for our wedding. I highly recommend The Flowr Studio to any couple looking for a top-notch florist who will bring their vision to life.

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

    4.9

    • Starts at $350
    • Serves Plainville, CT

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

    Awarded Best of Zola
Because of all the florals already there due to the nature of the venue, and all the florals and plants they filled in, I didn’t feel the need to have a ton of florals, so I did them myself! I found Flower Moxie here on Zola and they were so great! If you are thinking about DIY’ing your florals, I would definitely recommend looking into Flower Moxie! They have some set packages you can chose from, but I upgraded to the highest personalized package and it was so worth it. I got to have a phone call with the florist and they put together a custom package, and they definitely killed it, the flowers were exactly what I had in mind. There were so many resources and they went through everything so well I felt so prepared and we had almost no issues putting all the florals together. All of our florals still looked fresh and beautiful on our wedding day, and some of the florals in our arch arrangements lasted WEEKS. A word of caution though: it is definitely a lot of work, so just ensure that you have enough time in town before your wedding (i.e. you can’t fly in the day before your ceremony, if you are traveling to that location) and enough people to help you (for putting together, transporting and anything day of). I actually really enjoyed getting to do my florals myself, and would highly recommend if you are creative and DIYing your wedding!

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

Kate brought my idea of a spring garden wedding to life. She over exceeded my expectations for all the bouquets and the bud vases throughout the room. She was very easy to talk through it all and really helped with showing a personalized portfolio to really showcase what to expect on our wedding day. It was so special to me and my mother-in-law to incorporate her wedding dress sleeve as the wrap for my bouquet.

I was so grateful to have found Jen while going through our flower-picking-process. We got a quote for real flowers to start and it was way out of our budget. When we started looking for 'fake' flowers, I knew I wanted them to look as real as possible. I must have looked at 10 different vendors across CT and MA, and as soon as I saw Wood & Word Blooms website I was sold! Her bouquets are one of a kind, each and every piece was perfect for our wedding. She was so supportive and helpful in the color picking process, I changed my mind a few times but she never batted an eye. She got us to the finish line and we couldn't be happier. If you're on the fence, just go with Jen!

She was incredibly attentive and detail-oriented, taking the time to really understand my vision, hopping on multiple calls, and even coming for a site visit. She brought my vision to life in a way that fit flawlessly with our overall design. What really stood out was how thoughtful she was about incorporating family heirlooms and relics, something that was a focal point in our wedding. She found the most beautiful ways to repurpose old vases, barrels, pots, and more into the arrangements, which made everything feel so personal and meaningful. Tracy was such a joy to work with. Lindsay was so amazing to work with! We hired her to do the flowers for our very small wedding, and the flowers were pretty much our only decor. Everything turned out so stunning. I only showed her a couple of inspiration/general ideas, and mostly told her that we just wanted bright seasonal (August) flowers, and to go ahead and do whatever she thought was best. We didn't have a set color palette since we didn't have a wedding party, so she really could choose whatever she wanted. This was the best decision I could have made because everything was even more beautiful than I could have imagined! Trust me, if you're not a picky bride, ask Lindsay to surprise you and you won't be disappointed!

Bloom Culture: Do-it-Yourself Wedding Flowers was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the very first inquiry, their communication was prompt, kind, and professional. They answered all of my specific questions with personal responses, making the DIY flower process so easy and stress-free. The quality of their work was consistent, thorough, and truly showed how much they cared about making our day special. We saved so much money going the DIY route with Bloom Culture, and it allowed us to create so many wonderful memories putting the arrangements together with our wedding party. I highly recommend Bloom Culture to any couples looking for a reliable, affordable, and caring florist for their wedding. I wanted to do my own flowers to honor my grandmother who was a florist. She passed a few months before the wedding and I just know she would have absolutely loved it and we got to honor her in this way.
